ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The motivated and detail-oriented Financial Systems Administrator (you!) will impact the financial operations and success of a leading global business. This role will touch various internal technology workstreams, but is heavily focused on systems used by our accounting team including Netsuite, Coupa, Revpro, and Adaptive. Your responsibilities will include working closely with our Accounting, Billing, and FP&A teams to understand their needs, evaluating current systems, identifying necessary configuration/customization, implementing system changes, and working closely with stakeholders to test and launch changes.

You should be comfortable interacting with finance team members and senior leadership, as well as managing external consultants to achieve successful outcomes. You will serve as a point of contact for these teams when they have questions or need guidance working with these systems. You’ll work inside of our US Enterprise Team with both product and technology leadership to ensure that our financial systems are being built in sustainable, compliant, and successful ways. You’ll also frequently work with other team members in US Enterprise to sync data into financial systems from CRM and other internal systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You are responsible for the configurations and customizations of our financial systems including the planning, reviews and revisions pertaining to the organization’s evolving needs. You will guide staffing decisions on when work is best performed in house, or when bringing on a consultant/contractor makes the most sense.
  • Create and maintain documentation of our systems and all related business processes
  • Provide front line support and troubleshooting related to financial systems to ensure other team members can succeed.
  • Manage user access to systems while being aware of related permissions, system roles, and the way in which they are assigned those roles.
  • Guide system changes and processes to preserve data integrity while being conscious of data access and security concerns.
  • Gain a close understanding of the common issues users of our financial systems face and work to identify not just short term, but long term enhancements to make our systems work better for our employees.
  • You support Finance and IT audit and data management requirements and assist the Finance team with other projects, tasks and duties, as needed.
  • You’re comfortable using APIs and SQL when necessary to pull data from systems to support departments analyzing that data and making decisions.
  • You can troubleshoot complex data synchronization issues by debugging information flowing between systems to pinpoint where problems are.
  • You’re comfortable working with international teams and accounting orgs serving dozens of different countries simultaneously.

SUCCESSFUL FINANCIAL SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR CANDIDATES HAVE: 

  • A certification in NetSuite Administration, an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Accounting, related field or an equivalent combination of education and training.
  • A working knowledge of the general functions of an accounting team and how they are accomplished through a mix of tools to meet reporting and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge and/or certification working with common financial systems such as Netsuite, Coupa, Adaptive, and Revpro. Previous experience with credit card processors such as Adyen and Cybersource. Previous experience working with other internal technology systems for teams such as HR.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with finance teams, auditors, technical teams, and system users at all levels in the organization.
  • A familiarity with ASC 606 compliant revenue recognition and the ability to identify necessary system changes required to support it.
  • A general knowledge of accounting standards including US GAAP, Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
  • A detailed understanding of various integration platforms for moving data into financial systems such as enterprise ETL tools (Dell Boomi) or fully custom integrations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, an analytical mind and strong interpersonal communication skills including the ability to relay technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience working within industry standard development processes to deploy changes in a structured, auditable method that allows for rollbacks and precise tracking of exactly what is changing.

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Head of Data Engineering plays a key role in supporting the data needs of the entire organization.  Our mission is to provide reliable, performant, timely and understandable centralized data services to TKWW.  

This is a multi-disciplinary role that involves project management of various size projects and ad-hoc requests, to data architecture and managing of people and resources.  Data is the life blood of TKWW and therefore this role will be working with leadership across the organization to ensure data needed for analysis and monitoring the success of our products and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Manage a team of highly skilled data engineers across multiple locations 
  • Direct Data Engineering’s overall architecture and approach to data solutions
  • High level design of integrations between systems or the between various sources and the data warehouse
  • Project management of complex projects, breaking them down to smaller tasks, managing the scope of the projects and ensuring timely completion
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Analysts to analyze requirements and provide recommendations for solutions
  • Collaborate with other TKWW teams (Enterprise, ProdDev, DevOps, etc)  to provide data solutions for stakeholders
  • Ensure use of and contribution to best practices with tools and processes within the team
  • Inspire and support innovation within team to improve data offerings and help others to interact with our systems
  • Promote growth and development within team by improving existing skills and exploring new technologies

SUCCESSFUL LEAD, DATA ENGINEERING CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Past programming experience and a demonstrated interest in statistical analysis, informatics, analytics, and business intelligence
  • Minimum of 12+ years experience with SQL and Data Warehouse development
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience managing people
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of the following Databases (MYSQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, MSSQL, Redshift) 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrate self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm
  • Present ideas, expectations and information in a concise, well-organized way
  • Conduct research and make recommendations on BI requirements, products, and services
  • Manage time well, correctly prioritizing tasks
  • Ability to manage others, resources, contracts, etc.

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of database schema design and architecture
  • Experience with Project Management
  • Experience with dimensional modeling.
  • Experience with at least one Business Intelligence tool such as Qlik and Metabase
  • Experience with Big Data Solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift, Google BigQuery or Hadoop.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Matillion, Boomi, Informatica, SSIS, etc.
  • Programming experience with Ruby, Python, Shell Scripting
