ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Head of Digital Merchandising is a newly created role, and will be responsible for developing, implementing and optimizing the overall assortment and selling strategy for our new Wedding Registry marketplace (launching in late 2019).

The ideal candidate will be highly driven, action-oriented and entrepreneurial. They will have a proven track record of driving ecommerce business and conversion growth (as a former Site Merchandising Manager or Director), and be excited about the opportunity to roll their sleeves up as a core member of the leadership team building, launching and scaling our Registry business in the months ahead.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop a strategic vision for the assortment which supports the overall Registry strategy
  • Build a team responsible for defining and executing merchandising strategies (taxonomy, product set-up, navigation/sequencing, upsells/cross-sells, promotions and campaigns)
  • Monitor traffic, engagement and sales across categories, devices and cohorts - to drive conversion at each step and deliver the sales and margin plan
  • Collaborate with Business Development to identify and obtain the optimal assortment (across physical products and strategic partnerships)
  • Collaborate with Marketing on all merchandise and promotional campaign ideation, asset briefing/design, and linking strategies
  • Partner closely with Operations to monitor vendor inventory and fulfillment
  • Partner with the Product and Engineering teams to improve the shopping experience - as a key stakeholder in driving web enhancements
  • Understand the competitive landscape and make recommendations to improve business
  • Hire, manage and mentor a team – setting clear priorities and performance standards, and providing support for achievement

SUCCESSFUL HEAD OF DIGITAL MERCHANDISING CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 7+ years of experience in e-commerce merchandising (Manager or Director Home category and/or Registry experience preferred)
  • Highly analytical and data-driven; experienced in web analytics and financial modeling
  • Knowledge of SEO techniques, UX best practices, and digital marketing strategies
  • Excels in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Creative thinker and problem-solver determined to achieve the desired outcome
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience managing 3+ reports
  • Effective written, verbal and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's Degree required

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Registry Technical Operations Specialist role provides a great opportunity for candidates seeking to leverage their combined business and technical skills. We are looking for a savvy, organized, analytical, and helpful person with experience with marketplace and Ecommerce technology, API/ETL data processing, and general IT or web-platform best practices. The Registry Technical Operations team combines expert communication strategy with deep operational knowledge to support continuous improvement and great quality between our retailer partners and our registry product systems. This position requires a strong technical mind with solid data experience to support the other members of the team.

The Registry Operations team combines expert communication with deep technical systems knowledge to support operational excellence and improvement between our retail partners, suppliers, and our affiliate registry and Ecommerce systems. This position requires a strong technical mind with solid data experience to support team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, analyze, and execute supplier integrations through Mirakl Marketplace Platform and Magento
  • Monitor, verify, escalate and resolve product data issues
  • Consult on and support technical projects and ongoing changes related to current and prospective partners.
  • Monitor key data exchange and loading processes and scope enhancements to these processes
  • Test and configure attribution links and other customizable site elements.
  • Investigate, track, and resolve data and attribution outages, using ticketing systems
  • Collaborate with internal Business Development, Product Management, Engineering, Legal, Accounting, and Business Intelligence teams to ensure that our products ensure users have amazing registry experiences
  • Maintain positive relationships within and across TKWW teams and with partner teams.
  • Be accountable for escalating issues to satisfactory resolution.

SUCCESSFUL TECHNICAL OPERATIONS SPECIALIST CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Past experience with a marketplace platform such as Mirakl or Commercehub strongly desired
  • Past experience with an enterprise Ecommerce CMS like Magento or Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) strongly desired
  • 2-3 years technical experience with technical details of affiliate marketing programs
    • Data troubleshooting and analysis using tools like Excel, SQL, Python, etc.
    • Experience with affiliate marketing web tracking technology (i.e, tracking URLs, Pixels, Browser Cookies)
    • Monitoring, troubleshooting, validating data exchanges via SFTP and API
  • 2-3 years operations experience related toTechnical Projects with real-time business impact
  • Customer/Client Service experience, including working in ticketing systems like JIRA, Pivotal, and Asana
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience.
