ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The organized and analytical Business Development Coordinator, Registry (you!) will be part of building a business within a business. The Registry Team identifies and builds products and services to help couples plan their weddings and grow their families. The Knot Worldwide’s registry product serves as a centralized location for couples to create and share their unique registry through our expert guidance, curated content and targeted user pathing.  

As the Coordinator, you’ll be at the center of the Registry Business Development team - connecting the dots between media campaigns, performance plans, and legal contracts. You’ll liaise with other cross-functional teams across marketing, product, revenue operations, accounting and legal to support the growing registry product. You’ll assist the Registry team in maintaining external partnerships with retailers and e-comm brands by gathering insights, extracting data, and communicating patterns from performance data.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Update monthly reporting of partner terms, stated obligations and upcoming expirations. Manage renewals and expirations with Legal and Registry BD team.
  • Support media campaign management including managing flight dates, impression delivery, and asset collection
  • Assist in analyzing on-site campaign interactions to help drive conversion rates
  • Utilize project tracking software to log operational issues to go to internal stakeholders to prioritize resolution
  • Update reporting based on monthly performance from portfolio of retail partnerships for key KPIs
  • Analyze and update funnels and communicate key trends and patterns to internal stakeholders
  • Perform periodic competitive landscape analysis on major registry players
  • Liaise with editorial and marketing teams on identifying and pushing out high performing registry content across relevant categories.
  • Coordinate with marketing, product and tech on major partner initiatives within Registry
  • Assist in billing review through collaboration with Registry BD, Registry Operations and Business Intelligence team on a monthly basis

SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR, REGISTRY CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 0 - 1 year experience, at an agency or in e-comm
  • Project management and experience working cross-functionally a plus
  • Fantastic oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Very high attention to detail
  • Experience with collaboration or ticketing software tools, such as Pivotal Tracker, JIRA, DFP, Operative
  • Experience with data visualization software such as Birst, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Tableau is a plus

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Head of Digital Merchandising is a newly created role, and will be responsible for developing, implementing and optimizing the overall assortment and selling strategy for our new Wedding Registry marketplace (launching in late 2019).

The ideal candidate will be highly driven, action-oriented and entrepreneurial. They will have a proven track record of driving ecommerce business and conversion growth (as a former Site Merchandising Manager or Director), and be excited about the opportunity to roll their sleeves up as a core member of the leadership team building, launching and scaling our Registry business in the months ahead.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop a strategic vision for the assortment which supports the overall Registry strategy
  • Build a team responsible for defining and executing merchandising strategies (taxonomy, product set-up, navigation/sequencing, upsells/cross-sells, promotions and campaigns)
  • Monitor traffic, engagement and sales across categories, devices and cohorts - to drive conversion at each step and deliver the sales and margin plan
  • Collaborate with Business Development to identify and obtain the optimal assortment (across physical products and strategic partnerships)
  • Collaborate with Marketing on all merchandise and promotional campaign ideation, asset briefing/design, and linking strategies
  • Partner closely with Operations to monitor vendor inventory and fulfillment
  • Partner with the Product and Engineering teams to improve the shopping experience - as a key stakeholder in driving web enhancements
  • Understand the competitive landscape and make recommendations to improve business
  • Hire, manage and mentor a team – setting clear priorities and performance standards, and providing support for achievement

SUCCESSFUL HEAD OF DIGITAL MERCHANDISING CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 7+ years of experience in e-commerce merchandising (Manager or Director Home category and/or Registry experience preferred)
  • Highly analytical and data-driven; experienced in web analytics and financial modeling
  • Knowledge of SEO techniques, UX best practices, and digital marketing strategies
  • Excels in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Creative thinker and problem-solver determined to achieve the desired outcome
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience managing 3+ reports
  • Effective written, verbal and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's Degree required

The Manager, Registry Operations is a great opportunity for candidates seeking to leverage their combined business and technical leadership skills. We are looking for a savvy, organized, analytical, and positive individual with experience in Ecommerce, Marketplace Systems,  Affiliate Marketing technology, API/ETL data processing, and general web-platform best practices.

The Registry Operations team combines expert communication with deep technical systems knowledge to support operational excellence and improvement between our retail partners, suppliers, and our affiliate registry and Ecommerce systems. This position requires a strong technical mind with solid data experience to support team members.

This position in the Registry Operations department sits at the intersection of Business Development, User Experience, Product Analytics and Data Intelligence. The team is closely aligned to the Product organization, contributing to the practice of analytics-based decision making, driving the selection and adoption of new tools, and educating the Product and Design teams on their use. The position also works in close collaboration with the Data Science team to identify and cleanly capture the data required for algorithm development and analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and manage a team of operations technical specialists who own and monitor data integrations and database analysis with major retailers, monitor our internal marketplace supplier network, and other Ecommerce systems
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with internal technical, business, and product leadership and technical teams at the largest retailers, including Amazon, Bed Bath and Beyond, Crate & Barrel, Macy’s, etc.
  • Consult on and support technical projects and ongoing changes related to current and prospective partners
  • Oversee the investigation, tracking, and resolution of data and attribution outages
  • Collaborate with internal Business Development, Product Management, Engineering, Legal, Accounting, and Business Intelligence teams to ensure that our products ensure users have amazing registry experiences
  • Be accountable for escalating issues and proposed solutions to senior leadership

SUCCESSFUL MANAGER, REGISTRY OPERATIONS CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 3-5 years of increasing responsibility in a data or systems analysis environment
    • Experience troubleshooting and analyzing data using tools like Excel, SQL, Python, etc.
    • Working with Affiliate Networks such as Impact Radius, Rakuten, Commission Junction
    • Monitoring, troubleshooting, validating data exchanges via SFTP and API
  • Customer/Client Service experience, including working in ticketing systems like JIRA, Pivotal, and Asana
  • Bachelor’s Degree in data science, computer science, or business systems required

The Registry Technical Operations Specialist role provides a great opportunity for candidates seeking to leverage their combined business and technical skills. We are looking for a savvy, organized, analytical, and helpful person with experience with marketplace and Ecommerce technology, API/ETL data processing, and general IT or web-platform best practices. The Registry Technical Operations team combines expert communication strategy with deep operational knowledge to support continuous improvement and great quality between our retailer partners and our registry product systems. This position requires a strong technical mind with solid data experience to support the other members of the team.

SUCCESSFUL TECHNICAL OPERATIONS SPECIALIST CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Past experience with a marketplace platform such as Mirakl or Commercehub strongly desired
  • Past experience with an enterprise Ecommerce CMS like Magento or Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) strongly desired
  • 2-3 years technical experience with technical details of affiliate marketing programs
    • Data troubleshooting and analysis using tools like Excel, SQL, Python, etc.
    • Experience with affiliate marketing web tracking technology (i.e, tracking URLs, Pixels, Browser Cookies)
