ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:  

The International Payroll Manager will manage a team of payroll specialists and will be accountable for the payroll preparation, distribution and reporting processes for our countries  within Asia, Europe, and Latin America (currently 13 and growing)

Additionally, this role will be responsible for supporting technical accounting, tax, and related regulatory reporting/filing requirements, and providing information and assistance to company personnel and external auditors in all payroll related aspects. This position reports directly to the Director, Global Accounting Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the “end-to-end” processing, calculation, and settlement of payroll for employees located in 13 countries within Asia, Europe, and Latin America using HRIS and Payroll Processing Platforms or through the support of local payroll providers 
  • Coordinate with and inform stakeholders of information requirements to process payroll correctly (new hires, sales incentives, advanced salaries, flexible expenses, garnishments, etc.) 
  • Partner with People department in order to timely process benefit updates (new hires, changes, terminations) within payroll 
  • Ensure appropriate connection with People department in order to include information related to absences (PTOs, sick leaves, etc.) and transmit relevant data related to absences to pertinent government entities or payroll providers  if needed
  • Analyze, audit and reconcile payroll data;  Document results to ensure data and process integrity
  • Coordination of travel and expense processing and payment
  • Lead the charge on all payroll related areas of system implementations
  • Ensure all payroll processes and procedures are documented, updated and compliant with the applicable laws and regulations (including personal income tax, social security contributions and any other similar local concept or mandatory salary related payments) as well as any industry guidelines
  • Prepare routine correspondence regarding payroll processing for the department and essential stakeholders
  • Interface with internal and external individuals, departments, and agencies to answer questions, resolve issues, provide required reports, and obtain and share information related to employees, payroll or payroll procedures
  • Prepare monthly payroll journal entries and ad hoc reports
  • Provide leadership and mentorship for international payroll specialists

SUCCESSFUL  CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 7-10 years of payroll experience of which 3 years spent in a payroll management role within a medium-sized company with a footprint in Asia, Europe, and Latin America
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Deep knowledge and experience working with various payroll processors / providers and HRIS systems
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate objectivity, be results-oriented, and takes initiative
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Must be able to handle all aspects of work with a high degree of autonomy, common sense, and confidentiality
  • High level of professionalism and motivation to achieve cross-functional harmony and collaboration to drive projects and ensure smooth day-to-day operations successfully.

The Financial Planning and Analysis team provides comprehensive financial insight into our business, forecasting and driving efficient growth. We partner with teams across The Knot Worldwide to provide timely insights, reporting, and analysis on key business decisions. The Sr. Manager’s primary function is to coordinate, analyze and report financial information utilized in planning across the Company. This role provides management with reporting and analysis of monthly results on a consistent basis in addition to supporting ad-hoc finance projects. As a leader on TKWW’s FP&A team you will help scale our planning and analysis capabilities, globally, across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Modeling – Identify key drivers and create financial models to reflect strategic priorities.
  • Analysis – Design and execute regular financial analysis to identify critical areas for attention and the evaluation of strategic options. 
  • Reporting - Preparation and presentation of financial reporting for management, the Board, and other key stakeholders.  Provide meaningful and informative analysis to explain any variations in the business results from the financial plan.  Focus on automation and system driven solutions.
  • Planning - Develop department-level financial budgets and forecasts utilizing inputs from department managers and project-focused spending plans. Establish a deep understanding of key drivers of each supported function and leverage data to build insights about our products and competitors.
  • Collaboration - Effectively collaborate with the Accounting team on completion of monthly and quarterly financial closes and incorporation of actual results into the rolling forecast.
  • Partner with department managers outside of the Finance and Accounting teams as necessary for forecast inputs, ad hoc analysis and process improvements.
  • Take initiative to automate management reporting and document business processes.
  • Help develop and monitor critical success metrics, and communicate actionable insights to relevant stakeholders.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Statistics, Computer Science).
  • 6+ years experience in a financial/analytical role with a record of increasing responsibility.  
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Intense curiosity about understanding the key drivers of a multi-faceted business.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Excel.
  • Proficient knowledge of Google Sheets and Slides.  
  • Ability to build models from scratch as well as improve existing models, ensuring their quality, timeliness and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, detail-oriented, and execution focused.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and relationship building skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:  

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team is a global function that uses financial modeling to provide timely insight into business performance, accurate forecasts, and actionable recommendations to drive efficient growth. The (Sr.) Manager - FP&A, Marketing Analytics will lead and scale the company’s global efforts to grow and measure new and existing marketing strategies, in line with company goals . The Marketing Analytics Manager will sit within the FP&A team and work with cross functional teams in marketing and data analytics to drive actionable insights. In this role, you will partner with the CMO organization to drive the annual operating plan / budgeting process – facilitating the creation of objectives and key results and ensuring that targets, budgets and plans cascade down to each organization and team within the function. The ideal candidate will relish the opportunity to help TKWW’s marketing leadership efficiently deploy and grow their budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Modeling – build models to understand the efficacy of new marketing campaigns (ROI, ROAS, LTV/CAC, multi-channel attribution, etc.)
  • Analysis - Understand and provide insights on user behavior, conversion data, customer journeys, funnel analysis and multi-channel campaigns
  • Reporting - Deliver monthly, cross-channel performance reports with actionable insights, including variances to expectations, forecast revisions, and recommendations to increase/decrease spend
  • Collaboration - Be a thoughtful and supportive business partner. Work with the CMO org to set OKRs and cascade goals down to the team, inform budget/forecast decisions, and ensure optimal deployment of resources
  • Innovation - Support our test & learn strategy, while spotting opportunities to try innovative new methodologies and improve the analytical rigor of our work
  • Benchmark performance to best-in-class and advise on KPIs based on performance analysis
  • Work with large volumes of complex data to filter signal from noise and extract insights

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Demonstrated experience using marketing analytics to drive business results
  • Ability to build strong cross functional partnerships. This role will partner with business units to develop a deep understanding of marketing initiatives and efficacy 
  • Intense curiosity about understanding the key drivers of a multi-faceted business
  • Expert-level knowledge of Excel and proficient with Google Analytics 360
  • Ability to build predictive models from scratch as well as improve existing models, ensuring their quality, timeliness and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently, detail-oriented, and execution focused
  • Significant experience in a high growth technology company
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite, OneStream or Adaptive Insights, or other enterprise-grade financial systems

  • Experience with business intelligence analytics tools such as Tableau or Qlik; Basic SQL
