ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Knot Worldwide is in search of a full-time Data Scientist. Our Data Scientists work with stakeholders across all departments within the company. They answer strategic questions and provide insight to internal decision makers ranging from executives and senior management to product managers and team leads. They also work with our product team to develop data driven algorithms that improve features on the website.

This opening is for our Marketplace zone which connects over 2 million engaged couples with +50,000 local wedding vendors (e.g. Venue, DJ, Florist, etc.) across the US each year. This position plays an essential role in solving complex problems across our two-sided marketplace in areas such as pricing, product strategy, and go-to-market optimization. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create smarter product solutions for our couples and vendors
  • Answer strategic questions by analyzing behavioral data
  • Communicate, collaborate and present results to clients within The Knot Worldwide
  • Explore novel ways to look at our data

SUCCESSFUL DATA SCIENTIST CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Master's Degree or Ph.D. preferred
  • Experience implementing auction based business models
  • Strong product experience
  • Proficiency in key statistical and machine learning techniques (predictive modeling, classification, clustering, text analytics, recommender systems , data mining methods, forecasting, and other advanced techniques)
  • Proficiency with R or Python
  • Familiarity with common Linux command line tasks and version control software like git or svn preferable
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence others
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and shift gears quickly

This means someone who is passionate about partnering with Product Owners and Engineers to set the strategic vision, interaction design direction, and visual design polish and assets that make our products world class.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be a great product squad partner

  • Work as a partner in an autonomous, full-stack, product team.
  • Work with software development teams to meet technical requirements.
  • Lead design studios to facilitate a shared design process.

Be a great product designer

  • Know and love our users, understand their pain points, listen to their feedback, walk in their shoes, be their champions.

Be a great design team partner

  • Contribute to a cohesive user experience via the growth of our design system.

SUCCESSFUL PRODUCT DESIGNER CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 3-6 years of experience as a full-stack product designer.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, or a related field (or equivalent proven field experience).
  • A great online portfolio.
  • Experience defining patterns/style guides, performing user testing, and building low to high fidelity prototypes.
  • Proficiency in Sketch, InVision, Abstract, usertesting.com. Additional programs (Principle) a plus.
  • A solid understanding of software development and how to collaborate with developers.
  • A passion for research and have facilitated user testing and studies/analysis of user feedback and behavior.
  • Respect for balancing quantitative as well as qualitative data alongside empathy as a driver for innovative, user-centric solutions.
  • A strategic mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills.

We are seeking an experienced and impassioned Product Manager to help us transform wedding planning into a delightful journey while helping couples get the hard work done with confidence. We’re looking for that special someone to ensure that The Knot stays #1 in Weddings by bringing your entrepreneurial spirit, creative problem solving, and user-centric design thinking to our team. You’ll work closely with exceptional design and tech leads. Your Marketing and PR partners are knowledgeable and collaborative, having built up key relationships in the industry over many years.

We have built a world-class product development team and are passionate about growing product managers into masters of the craft. We have a rich product development program including monthly Product Schools, development budgets, guest speakers, meetups … as well as a strong general focus on personal development.

This role is a great mix of forward-thinking strategy and highly creative, design-centered feature development, with a strategic product focus on The Knot’s wedding planning journey. We craft planning tools that help the couple stay organized, confident, and have some fun while planning their wedding.

You should be excited about building new products from Minimally Viable Experiments to iterating and scaling the existing planning products. You love helping users solve big problems and making life’s biggest moments joyful instead of stressful.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

We are seeking a driven Product Support Specialist to provide support for the revenue driving teams using our internal software and tools. This role reports to the Senior Enterprise Product Manager, and is part of our Enterprise Product Team supporting Product Managers and Tech Leaders to provide best in class technology to stakeholders on Sales, Service, Billing, Accounting, and more.

The Product Support Team helps our business support our users and enhance their workflows by fielding enhancement requests and troubleshooting bugs. The team consolidates, prioritizes, and reports enhancement requests and bugs to Product Managers and Tech Leaders. The Product Support Specialist opening will specifically support the Enterprise team and internal tooling and software.

The Product Support Specialist role can serve as an entry point to Product Management, QA, or third party Software Administration, depending on acumen.

You should be excited about helping our internal teams achieve their initiatives by providing stellar support and constantly looking to improve our tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to and resolve bug reports from internal users
  • Vet enhancement requests for impact and feasibility
  • Empathize with internal teams and lead with a service mindset
  • Take extreme ownership over improving tools and processes for stakeholders
  • Speak with non technical team members about technical issues in a way they can understand
  • Collaborate with multiple teams, serving as an escalation point, as well as investigate and troubleshoot various product and third party problems
  • Work with Product & Engineering to ensure resolution of issues & prioritization of requests
  • Propose and execute improvements to our process, product, and knowledge base
  • Always put our users first

SUCCESSFUL PRODUCT SUPPORT SPECIALISTS HAVE:

  • Salesforce experience, as an admin or power user
  • Experience with or desire to learn technical basics of custom and third party software
  • Extreme ownership and ability to self-lead, with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solutions oriented mindset with ability to spot patterns and mistakes
  • Ability to prioritize competing priorities based on business value
  • SQL knowledge is a plus
  • HRIS systems experience is a plus
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

We are looking for a full-stack product designer who wants to build products that matter for our pregnancy and parenting brand, The Bump! This means someone who is passionate about partnering with Product Managers and Engineers to set the strategic vision, interaction design direction, and visual design polish and assets that make our products world class.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be a great product squad partner

  • Work as a partner in an autonomous, full-stack, global product team.
  • Work with software development teams to meet technical requirements.
  • Lead virtual design studios to facilitate a shared design process.

Be a great product designer

  • Know and love our users, understand their pain points, listen to their feedback, walk in their shoes, be their champions.
  • Collaborate with our product, marketing, global advertising, and research teams.
  • Effectively present to and discuss solutions with stakeholders.
  • Design visually elegant interfaces that are easy to use across platforms.

Be a great design team partner

  • Contribute to a cohesive user experience via the growth of our design system.
  • Participate in design team reviews/critiques.
  • Improve the designers around you as you improve yourself as well.

SUCCESSFUL SENIOR PRODUCT DESIGNER CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 4-8 years of experience as a full-stack (visual, ui, ux, interaction, cross-platform, etc) product designer.
  • Fluency in English, written and verbal. (You will be working closely with stakeholders in the US.)
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, or a related field (or equivalent proven field experience).
  • A great digital portfolio showcasing cross-platform design work (web, mobile, native app)
  • Experience defining patterns/style guides, performing user testing, and building low to high fidelity prototypes.
  • Expertise in Figma; proficiency with user research platforms like usertesting.com; Additional programs (like Principle for animation) a plus.
  • A solid understanding of software development and how to collaborate with developers.
  • A passion for research, with experience facilitating user testing and conducting studies/analysis of user feedback and behavior.
  • Respect for balancing quantitative as well as qualitative data alongside empathy as a driver for innovative, user-centric solutions.
  • A strategic mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working with remote teams is a plus.
