The Knot Worldwide is looking for an acquisition-focused copywriter (you!) that is an expert in creating online banner ads, direct emails, sweepstakes, and other advertising or promotional campaigns. You will join our Creative Services team for a short term contract (3-6 months), and will work closely alongside a designer and web operations specialist to build out digital marketing collateral across various platforms for TKWW and our many brands. This position will be up to 40 hours per week in our DC office (no remote).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You are responsible for writing copy that translates advertising marketing strategies into creative, on-brand messaging and drives conversions.
  • You will need to effectively write in multiple formats across different channels: website copy, app copy, emails, product, social and more.

The marketing team is looking for a senior leader to head the Product & Consumer Marketing team to increase awareness through brand marketing, acquire new customers through our owned and earned marketing channels and drive power users through best-in-class product marketing. This person will work closely with stakeholders across marketing from designers to other copywriters to our internal marketing gurus to produce onbrand copy that creates a joyful user experience and elevates our brands. The areas of focus will include B2B and B2C Marketing, along with The Knot Worldwide company initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Write compelling, on-brand copy that inspires, informs and delights our audience while driving action across a suite of channels including B2B and B2C marketing campaigns, emails, social, and industry leading planning tools.

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Knot Worldwide is looking for a smart, passionate and fun digital copywriter (you!) with 5+ years of experience to be a part of conceptualizing and creating products that meet the needs of our users, brands, and advertisers. We’re looking for a stellar wordsmith to join our fast-paced, in-house creative marketing team. This person will work closely with stakeholders across marketing from designers to other copywriters to our internal marketing gurus to produce onbrand copy that creates a joyful user experience and elevates our brands. The areas of focus will include B2B and B2C Marketing, along with The Knot Worldwide company initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Write compelling, on-brand copy that inspires, informs and delights our audience while driving action across a suite of channels including B2B and B2C marketing campaigns, emails, social, and industry leading planning tools.
  • Possess the ability to “write visually” — have a solid understanding of channel constraints and product you are writing for, visualize how your copy could look in a layout and provide copy documents that help the designer understand your visions.
  • Be an expert in creating online banner ads, direct emails, sweepstakes, and other advertising/promotion campaigns.
  • Manage simultaneous projects from inception to completion.
  • Collaborate and partner with a range of teams including but not limited to, other copywriters, internal marketing folks, designers, social, events, and video.

SUCCESSFUL MARKETING COPYWRITERS HAVE:

  • A love for writing and an enthusiasm for getting it right
  • 5+ years of copywriting experience in support of digital marketing campaigns
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating a range of concepts and executions across web, mobile, and marketing campaigns
  • Creative thinker and an eagle eye when it comes to the details
  • Ability to follow a copy guide and adapt to the voice of an established brand
  • Strong interest in learning more about how to use data and user testing to gain insight to the best copy solutions
  • Ability to pivot quickly and is comfortable with working cross-functionally with fast-paced internal teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience writing video content and scripts is a plus
  • Solid understanding of SEO copywriting and has experience working with SEO teams is a plus
  • Passion for helping couples navigate one of life’s biggest moments!
