ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM: 

Are you passionate about writing, quality assurance and marketing? If so, The Knot Worldwide is seeking energetic, and self-starting candidates to join our Editorial Team for The Bump. The Bump gives first-time millennial parents the lowdown on fertility, pregnancy, birth and babies with stage-by-stage content, expert advice, breaking news, style inspiration and interactive tools—across all of our platforms (including our apps, mobile and desktop site). We are looking for individuals who are very detailed oriented, have a strong visual eye, a strong background in writing, and love to work at a fast pace.  You don’t need to have kids, but you do need to get excited about all things baby and parenting. This position will be a full time, in-office role (when our office reopens post work from home guidance).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Spearhead and own all editorial content related to baby gear, registry, parenting products and other shopping-based content 
  • Pitch, source, write and build 4-5 search-optimized stories a week
  • Lead content support for major shopping events such as Mother’s Day, Amazon Prime Day and Black Friday; coordinate strategy across promotion channels (social, email, paid)
  • Maintain high-value articles for sold-out products on a weekly basis
  • Collaborate with Rev Ops team on affiliate link generation process and reporting
  • Support strategy and execution for affiliate content across channels such as email, social and paid; develop dedicated ecommerce newsletter strategy 
  • Support overall content strategy with reporting, including but not limited to KW research, KW position tracking and organic traffic analysis 
  • Coordinate The Bump Best of Baby annual awards program
  • Support other team members as needed with editorial content or projects 

SUCCESSFUL E-COMMERCE EDITOR CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing or related field. Background in affiliate, e-commerce or consumer products a plus. 
  • 3-5 years experience working for a digital editorial brand; experience working for a parenting brand a huge plus!
  • Advanced understanding of SEO best practices and how to execute on a keyword strategy.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with writing research-based editorial content; experience writing product reviews and/or product descriptions are a big plus.
  • An extreme attention to detail. 
  • Experience producing content in a CMS. 
  • Basic knowledge of affiliate marketing.
  • Basic experience with Google Analytics.
  • Ability to think strategically and work independently. 
  • Are a deadline-driven, highly flexible, multi-tasking master with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:  

The Knot Worldwide is looking for an Email Marketing Specialist with 4-6 years of experience to join the existing email marketing team of seven and support consumer engagement and advertising programs for The Knot, WeddingWire and The Bump brands. The Email Marketing Specialist will partner with the Creative Team, Local and National Sales Teams, Commerce Team and other stakeholders to create and execute email programs.

Day-to-day, this person will be building email campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud’s Content Builder, segmenting data using SQL queries, working with stakeholders on approvals, scheduling email sends, reporting performance of campaigns, and providing recommendations to improve processes and performance. The Email Marketing Specialist must be able to react quickly to support business needs, determine daily activities and priorities while delivering projects to tight deadlines. The right candidate will have experience collaborating with various teams and developing large-scale campaigns.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the National email advertising program for all brands (WeddingWire, The Knot and The Bump), working closely with the Account Managers. Balance advertiser needs with brand and consumer interests.
  • Manage the Local email advertising program by working closely with the email Ops team and provide strategic guidance including list segmentation and campaign optimization to our largest clients.
  • Build and execute email campaigns to support the Commerce team and drive revenue. Make recommendations to improve performance.
  • Manage the daily set-up of one-time and automated email campaigns, content and message optimization, mobile-responsive email template creation & editing (HTML), list segmentation, deployment, and reporting in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Track email metrics and deliverability; report performance of email campaigns to stakeholders including open rates, click rates, and conversion.
  • Optimize performance of existing campaigns and programs by performing ongoing testing including audience segmentation, subject lines, email copy, layouts and CTAs that improve conversion. 
  • Ensure cross-browser/email client compatibility through testing tools such as Litmus. 
  • As needed, support other team members with execution of email campaigns.

SUCCESSFUL EMAIL MARKETING SPECIALIST CANDIDATES HAVE:

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to project manage multiple deliverables and brands. Key requirements for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field. Background in editorial, e-commerce or consumer products a plus. 
  • 4-6 years experience in email marketing and execution.
  • Strong understanding and experience working with an enterprise-level ESP. Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud a big plus!
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML specifically for email channel.
  • Basic SQL skills.
  • Basic experience with Google Analytics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, following a logical sequence to identify problems.
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing using complex segmentation.
  • Experience compiling and analyzing large amounts of data and communicating results in an organized and concise way. High comfort level with pivot tables.
  • Strong interest in current email best practices, strategies, and industry standards recommending new methods, innovative ideas, and/or technologies to grow the business.
  • Ability to think strategically and work independently. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate workflows with multiple stakeholders (national/local advertising, editorial, marketing, commerce, product, design and creative).
  • Deadline driven, highly flexible, multi-tasking master with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Reporting to the CMO based in New York City, the VP of Marketing you will be responsible for creating, leading and measuring the overall marketing strategy for the Bodas.net operating countries. The ideal candidate will have extensive performance marketing experience and a comprehensive knowledge of branding. RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and execute a clearly defined marketing and communication strategy to support consistent business growth and enhance brand equity and awareness. 
  • Actively lead all marketing functions to achieve the company's growth, profitability, goals and align with the corporate direction. 
  • Will be in charge of the: Editorial, Communications, Performance Marketing, and Community Manager Departments.
  • Manage both on-site and off-site SEO for the company.
  • Manage of organic search engine performance and goal-setting based on site impressions, clickthrough rates, traffic, and conversions.
  • Lead marketing efforts for the Bodas brand and encourage strong collaboration and teamwork to execute cross-departmental and cross-organizations initiatives.
  • To manage the entire marketing budget and metrics, providing reports on performance of processes and programs and transform data into actionable insights and recommendations. 

SUCCESSFUL VP of MARKETING DIRECTOR CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 10-15 years of progressive Marketing experience at the senior level
  • Demonstrated experience contributing as a key member of management team
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is a must.
  • Strong experience with best strategies in digital sales.
  • Strong analytical, planning, forecasting, and financial skills.
