ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:  

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a PR agency and/or in-house PR team. This individual will help lead strategy with the Senior Director of Brand Communications, and manage internal team members and an external PR agency on the execution of integrated PR, marketing and corporate comms initiatives that build awareness, enhance credibility and grow reputation of The Knot Worldwide, its brands and leaders. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and confident working and interacting with senior leadership and executives, and will lead collaboration across departments on cross-functional initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This individual will develop and manage the execution of impactful, measurable and noteworthy consumer and corporate communications campaigns to drive awareness, engagement and brand equity, and support business goals for The Knot Worldwide and the company’s premier brands The Knot, WeddingWire and The Bump.

SUCCESSFUL SENIOR MANAGER, PUBLIC RELATIONS CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 8-10 years of experience in a PR agency and/or in-house PR team 
  • Proven track record of developing, managing and executing successful, integrated consumer PR campaigns at a national level (global experience a plus)
  • Superior management skills and someone who can act as a mentor to direct reports and junior team members across the full marketing organization 
  • Ability to manage day to day expectations and KPIs with the company’s PR agency of record
  • Strong KPI measurement skills with experience building media relations strategies that reach targeted demographics
  • Corporate communications experience for high growth companies (crisis management a plus)
  • Experience in developing executive visibility programs (inclusive of social media guidance, speaking engagement, etc.) and working closely to media train and prep senior leaders and executives for a variety of opportunities 
  • Experience in drafting and managing the drafting of press releases, media pitches, talking points, briefing docs, company messaging and other media assets by more junior team members
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and can think big picture but also roll up his or her sleeves to get the job done 
  • Good judgement, attention to detail and strong creative thinking with a focus on inclusivity for brand initiatives 
  • Keen sense of trends and verticals of interest to Millennials and Gen-Z (i.e. travel, sustainability, inclusivity etc.) 
  • Experience with TV and film brand integrations a plus 
  • Event management experience

The Knot Worldwide is looking for a data-driven, highly pragmatic brand media professional with hands-on experience in managing a highly visible paid YouTube media campaign to help guide TheKnot Worldwide’s evolution towards a best in class consumer and brand focused marketing organization.

This role will be a key in building a holistic YouTube strategy to grow our demand for The Knot Worldwide's suite of products and consumers. This role will focus on YouTube advertising, brand media planning, and KPI growth optimization based on insights and measurement analytics. It will focus on YouTube platform buying therefore a deep google ads manager & inventory understanding is required for this role. The person in this role will help drive innovation and growth in the YouTube brand & growth space internally and externally with partners & agencies, to educate and evangelize opportunities and results across the broader organization. This person will develop a test and learn roadmap to conquer the notoriously hard to measure YouTube advertising space and in partnership with creative services, develop a creative learning agenda to build a best in class brand & acquisition program. 

The Consumer Marketing team is driven by ideas and data to uncover impactful ways to intersect customer attention through all media touchpoints. The person in this role will have an influential voice in crafting these plans and strategies across our global YouTube presence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspire and drive innovation, a test-and-learn culture, and impact across our key product HVAs with the aim of increasing brand TAM (Pre-Engaged and Engaged Audiences) and customer acquisition efforts.
  • Audit and evaluate historical and ongoing YouTube content mix and performance in partnership with YouTube channel managers, content creators and performance media teams.
  • Contribute to the YouTube channel content ideation process and recommend ad units, video content ideas, long and short form content to win on YouTube. 
  • Partner closely with in house performance media team, agencies, on campaign buying and execution to ensure data visibility, reporting measurement accuracy and clear impact insights in response to the media investment strategy.
  • Lead all HVA impact, ROAS, and Brand/ Search lift YouTube performance reporting as needed across channels, platforms and domains. Own reporting of YouTube impact in partnership with Analytics, Finance and Brand Measurement Teams to better optimize and scale. 
  • Participate in the budget tracking, financial reporting and forecasting of YouTube channel investment to ensure maximum efficiency of content and paid media.
  • Steward brand and consumer insight data and Google/YouTube media landscape trends and intelligence to inform all brand media planning and brand lift measurement in partnership with brand insights team. 
  • Create YouTube creative brief for creative teams and agency partners to develop winning creative templates, ads, with platform specific insights, social first strategies and learned areas of  opportunity based on, target demo, growth targets, etc.
  • Develop campaign briefs as needed that enable Creative and Content teams to identify key messaging and creative opportunities and assets aligning to YouTube growth objectives.
  • Advocate, execute and help prioritize the logistical ad implementation requirements (assets, tagging, etc.) for campaigns in partnership with Ad Ops teams. 

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 5+ years' experience building and deploying digital end-to-end media campaigns
  • Be an epic team player, collaborator and innovation agent
  • Experience in brand & audience based media planning principles
  • Self-starter with excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • Stronger proficiency specifically on Google and YouTube platform capabilities and innovation
  • Creative thinker with strong analytical skills -- comfortable interpreting data, deriving actionable media insights and using them to inform future campaigns
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • High proficiency and advanced experience in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.)
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated with “can-do” attitude
  • BA/BS from an accredited University

The Demand team is tasked to drive growth in local advertising revenue by collaborating with TKWW’s sales and marketing functions to engage our target audience of wedding professionals in a variety of categories (venues, florists, planners, etc) nationwide. 

Reporting into the VP of Marketing, our Director of Demand Generation will leverage data in decision making to align Marketing and Sales teams, track Marketing’s contribution to revenue, and ultimately drive growth for TKWW’s local marketplace, the #1 wedding brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Establish a strategic, cross-channel playbook for demand generation marketing that spans marketing and sales funnels, and combines input from multiple disciplines including Sales, Operations, B2B Marketing, Paid channels/SEO, and Content.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Sales, Product Marketing, and Revenue Operations) to ideate, launch and optimize buyer-specific omni-channel programs and tactics spanning the entire sales cycle, ensuring alignment with overall product and sales goals
  • Lead A/B testing strategy to optimize learnings for email, landing pages, content and digital ads
  • Leverage cross-channel insights to refine MQL strategy (a cross-functional initiative to generate higher quality, qualified leads)
  • Collaborate with Marketing Ops on campaign set-up, tracking and reporting, and Revenue Ops to optimize lead hand-off processes and Sales follow-ups based on established SLAs
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing leaders to ensure quality demand delivery is tied to Sales goals, optimize Sales feedback loops and course-correct as campaign execution unfolds
  • Define Key Performance Indicators, budget, and success metrics as part of campaign planning, analyze and report on pipeline impact, overall market reach and buyer responsiveness to key offerings
  • Monitor external trends and recommend new strategies to expand efficiency and revenue
  • Advise non-US marketing leads on how to implement an impactful B2B demand generation strategy (India, Latam, Europe)

SUCCESSFUL DIRECTOR OF DEMAND GENERATION CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Proven demand experience - You bring 6+ years of success in driving high volume and high velocity demand in SMB, ideally within the wedding industry
  • Analytical excellence - You are data-obsessed and love to constantly experiment and optimize performance across channels to drive efficiency and revenue. This enables you to effectively attribute Marketing’s contribution to revenue, providing superior visibility beyond the marketing and sales funnel
  • Multi-channel expertise - You have experience driving consistent and integrated messaging across multiple channels including email, paid and organic search and social, display ads/retargeting, 3rd party media, co-marketing, webinar/ events and more, and use practices such as conversion optimization and A/B testing to maximize impact
  • Cross functional collaboration - You possess strong communication and influence management skills as well as a track record of leveraging data in decision making to align your partners across the Marketing, Operations and Sales and Service teams. With a bias towards action, and a “no-silos” policy, you’re able to align groups on a clear strategic direction even without ownership over all the components. You bring an objective approach to the table, including the willingness to let the data change the direction
  • Empathy -  As a marketer, you are passionate about understanding the psychology behind our buyers’ emotions and decision making process in order to provide content that solves their specific challenges. Additionally, as someone with insight into both ends of the marketing and sales funnel, you’re able to walk in the shoes of a rep, provide insights and recommend improvements to make our demand generation strategy even better
  • Problem-solving - As an operator, you are able to diagnose issues in the sales process and prescribe data-driven solutions for improvement.  By fully understanding your resources, you will develop an awareness of the limitations of each one. When building new campaigns, you know from the beginning whether the organization has the capabilities to deliver on the new idea

With a background in weddings or lifestyle editorial, you’ll be tasked with leading the editorial team to create innovative, informative and inspiring content and user experiences relevant to every stage of the wedding planning journey and beyond. 

Key objectives include increasing awareness and traffic among a pre-engaged and engaged audience with a strong SEO strategy, encouraging users to interact and transact in our wedding vendor marketplaces and driving affiliate revenue. 

Thought leadership is key to this role - the authority on all things weddings, you will tap into what our audience are thinking and feeling and package that to tell new and unique stories. An advocate for Hitched internally and externally, you will promote the brand through media and public appearances through work with our PR team and at events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Motivate and lead the Hitched editorial team
  • Create and execute our editorial content strategy that improves the brand’s reach among consumers, increases traffic and encourages transactions both on page and within our marketplace 
  • Work alongside the Social Media Editor to develop and execute our social media strategy

SUCCESSFUL EDITOR CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • A proven Editor or Deputy Editor, you will have at least 3 years’ experience in commissioning and editing digital content 
  • Exceptional writing skills; 5 years’ professional experience writing for an online brand or digital publication and using a CMS
  • Demonstrable experience of using data and insight to drive editorial strategy, audience development and conversions

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a portfolio of paid marketing campaigns end-to-end by defining, implementing and continuously optimizing online acquisition programs to drive high-value B2B and B2C leads and increase ROI 
  • Platform ownership for paid campaigns that includes but is not limited to both prospecting and retargeting on paid social, paid search, video, display, programmatic, offline, affiliate & referral platforms

This role will be a key in building a holistic YouTube strategy to grow our demand for The Knot Worldwide's suite of products, services and consumers. This role will focus on our YouTube US channels paid & organic content discovery campaigns, channel monetization for media sales arm and YouTube search optimization planning. This role will drive content strategy & optimizations based on insights and measurement analytics. It will not focus on pre-roll media advertising & buying responsibilities although google ads manager experience is desired. The person in this role will help drive innovation and growth in the YouTube branding space externally with agencies/ production partners along with educating and evangelizing the content and opportunities to the broader internal marketing & ad sales teams.

The Consumer Marketing team is driven by ideas, storytelling and impactful ways to intersect customer attention through all media touchpoints. The person in this role will have an influential voice in crafting these plans and strategies across our global YouTube presence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspire and drive innovation, curation, navigation and best practice channel management for The Knot Worldwide’s YouTube channels with the aim of increasing brand awareness, viewership, channel subscriptions and monetization revenue.
  • Lead, Create and Manage all YouTube content publishing plans and paid media campaigns to include content strategy, media plan scenarios and audience segmentation requirements. This person will support implementation and platform operations for email and mobile communications across multiple brands including The Knot and WeddingWire. The Specialist has experience developing dynamic, personalized communications leveraging HTML, CSS and AMPScript and has advanced SQL segmentation and data configuration skills. The Specialist will be the subject matter expert and resource for the team for coding and SQL. The ideal candidate is curious and proactively seeks out new technical solutions to improve the program. Part of a nine-person international lifecycle marketing team. Reports to the Senior Manager, Lifecycle Marketing.

This role can be based in our Washington, DC, New York City, NY, Austin, TX, or Omaha, NE office.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Data Integration - Manage data integrations, solve errors, and ensure daily automations run smoothly. Work with the data engineering team to set up new data integration automations and solve for integration challenges.
  • Build & Execute - Assist with implementation and QA of automations and journeys. Troubleshoot automation and journey errors. 
  • Continuous Improvement - Make recommendations to improve technical implementation of program and platforms.
  • Email Development - Support the rest of the team by building the more complex messages that have advanced CSS and AMPScript.

The Knot Worldwide is looking for a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager with 7+ years of experience to oversee email communications for 11 wedding brands in Europe and Latin American markets. The Sr. Manager will develop and execute standardized marketing automation programs that engage consumers and drive core goals through the email channel. Using data to guide decisions, this person will set up the testing agenda and make program adjustments to maximize performance. The right candidate will be hands-on in the marketing platform and needs to have the technical capacity to modify HTML email code, develop templates, segment data, and set up tracking for proper attribution.  Part of a global email marketing team. Manages one direct report.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the US-based email team and local marketing team to implement standardized customer journeys that drive engagement and high value actions. 
  • Identify new opportunities to improve audience segmentation, content, timing, and frequency to support business goals.
  • Manage the daily set-up of one-time and automated email campaigns, content and message optimization, mobile-responsive email template creation & editing (HTML), list segmentation, deployment, and reporting within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform.
  • Use dynamic content (AMPScript) to scale journeys across multiple countries.
  • Collaborate with the internal design team to create visually compelling templates and graphics that support email best practices.
  • Conduct A/B testing including subject lines, email copy, layouts and CTAs that improve conversion. Manage a structured and documented testing plan to continually improve performance.
  • Ensure cross-browser/email client compatibility through testing tools such as Litmus. 
  • Monitor IP performance and inbox placement using ReturnPath tools and take corrective action to improve sender score and deliverability as needed.

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Knot Worldwide is looking for an eager and data-driven Social Media professional to support The Knot Worldwide’s evolution towards a best in class consumer- and brand-focused consumer marketing organization. As the leader of The Knot and WeddingWire’s social media team, you will work within our fast paced organization to increase user engagement & business impact through various social media channels. This is a highly analytical and collaborative role, with data being at the forefront of our decision making.

This role will be key in leading our holistic social media strategy to grow demand for The Knot Worldwide's suite of products, services and consumers. This role will focus on our organic US social channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest) and paid boosting/discovery campaigns, and audience content targeting. This role will oversee our brands content strategy & optimizations based on insights and analytics. It will not focus on paid acquisition advertising responsibilities although having knowledge of this side of social marketing is desired. 

The Consumer Marketing team is driven by ideas, storytelling and impactful ways to intersect customer attention through all media touch points. The person in this role will have an influential voice in crafting these plans and strategies across our social presence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspire and drive innovation, curation, and best practice channel management for The Knot Worldwide’s channels with the aim of increasing brand awareness, audience engagement and website traffic. 
  • Own editorial calendar and ensure all pertinent parties are aware of organic content publishing plans, campaign and paid effort results.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams such as Influencers, PR, Editorial, Creative & Ad Sales teams, to strategize content engagement models, campaign plans, viewership trends, discoverability and paid media amplification tactics.
  • Contribute to the team & foster creativity in ideation processes by pitching & nurturing amazing ideas to support and delight our couples & guests. 
  • Lead all performance reporting as needed across channels, platforms and domains to identify areas of opportunity. Use analytic tools such as Google Analytics, reporting from posting software such as Dash Hudson, Curalate, Facebook Business Manager to track growth and success across social channels as well as manage weekly reporting for our internal teams.
  • Own reporting of channel business impact partnering with Analytics and Consumer Marketing Teams to better optimize and scale efforts. 
  • Participate in the budget tracking, financial reporting and forecasting of social investment to ensure maximum efficiency of content and monetization efforts. 
  • Gather, commission and steward brand and consumer insight data and social media landscape trends and intelligence to inform all brand planning. Deliver quarterly case study to help inspire content concepts, formats and strategic direction and course corrections based on current and evolving developments and trends.
  • Advocate, support and help prioritize  any technical requirements (utms, assets, tagging, etc.) for campaigns in partnership with Ad Ops teams as needed. 
  • Mentor & Manager an amazing team of creative social media managers & editors into a best in class social media organization. 

SUCCESSFUL SENIOR SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 5-10 years' experience building and deploying social media end-to-end campaigns
  • Be an epic team player, collaborator and innovation agent.
  • Experience in brand & audience based media planning principles
  • Self-starter with excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • Stronger proficiency specifically on Facebook Business Manager, Dash Hudson, Sprout Social, Tailwind and Google Analytics a plus
  • Creative thinker with strong analytical skills -- comfortable interpreting data, deriving actionable media insights and using them to inform future campaigns
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • High proficiency and advanced experience in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.)
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated with “can-do” attitude
  • BA/BS from an accredited University.

The position involves partnering with the brand managers of The Knot, WeddingWire, Bodas, The Bump and the Bash, reporting into the Director of Paid Performance Marketing for best practices, programs, and tactics to increase our visibility and return on ad spend for these growing brands. You will work with smart and creative people who will help you hone your skills and develop your career.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a portfolio of paid & affiliate marketing campaigns end-to-end by defining, implementing and continuously optimizing online acquisition programs to drive high value actions and increase ROI
  • Platform ownership for paid campaigns to includes but is not limited to both prospecting and retargeting on Google Ads (SEM/PPC/PLA), App Stores, Facebook Ads Manager, pinterest and affiliate platforms
  • Support a portfolio of app campaigns end-to-end, targeting improvement of organic app rank and app install acquisition via ASO (app store optimization / mobile search) strategy and execution
  • Support forecast builds and spend models for various investment scenarios within paid/affiliate marketing and organic trajectory for apps via ASO
  • Partner with product, product marketing and business stakeholders to align paid/affiliate marketing and ASO with overall acquisition strategy and forecast based on trending performance and potential product updates/optimizations
  • Write copy and coordinate with design to generate new creative and landing pages both testing and new initiatives across both paid platforms and app profiles
  • Plan and execute testing of ad creative, targeting, bid strategy, landing page optimization, app store listings, new & emerging platforms etc.
  • Report on key metrics, analyze campaign results and strategize for growth routinely communication to stakeholders and senior marketing management.
  • Track and report on competitor performance and movements across paid, affiliate and app landscape

SUCCESSFUL PAID PERFORMANCE SPECIALIST CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Minimum 3+ years professional experience
  • Expertise directly planning, executing and optimizing successful paid and affiliate online acquisition programs (SEM/PPC, PLA, Social Media, App), effectively in a portfolio based model
  • Proficient knowledge in paid acquisition best practices and platforms (Google, App Stores, Facebook Ads Manager)
  • Experience directly planning, executing and optimizing successful ASO programs for consumer apps
  • Knowledge of Affiliate marketing best practices (experience implementing programs preferred)
