ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Executive Assistant at The Knot WorldWide enables the success of our teams through organization, coordination and administrative support of the Executive Team in Washington, DC. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to calendar and meeting management, arranging domestic and international travel, meeting and event planning, and general administrative support. The Executive Assistant is expected to know and understand the Executives for whom they will provide support, anticipate their needs and proactively provide assistance that will enable their ability to execute with high velocity. The Executive Assistant will be exposed to highly sensitive information and is expected to  maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with employees, management, Board of Directors, customers, partners and investors.

The organized and experienced Executive Assistant (you!) will help coordinate logistics, balance multiple priorities at once, and enable our executives to be more effective.  You will coordinate and execute scheduling and logistics that will drive broader team connectivity. You will work closely with a Global Leadership Team and other key business partners and report to the Associate Director, Office Experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You manage scheduling, logistics and expenses, including booking domestic and international travel
  • You process expenses using Concur
  • You are a problem-solver, always looking for creative ways to support and anticipate the needs of the Executive Team to facilitate efficiency and high levels of execution
  • You facilitate internal meetings with Executives and key stakeholders
  • You will be a member of the Office Experience Team in support of a positive employee experience at The Knot Worldwide
  • You manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders including external vendors, Board of Directors and senior leaders at The Knot WorldWide
  • You lead and collaborate on special projects
  • You collaborate with a broader network of TKWW Executive Assistants and Coordinators on cross-team backup support and broader company initiatives

SUCCESSFUL EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT CANDIDATES HAVE:

 

  • 5-10 years of administrative experience supporting senior-level leadership and executives
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and can use judgement to articulate the importance of an issue
  • Exceptional organizational skills and fierce attention to detail
  • The ability to deal with ambiguity and prioritize tasks in response to unexpected changes in priorities/requests.
  • Demonstrated the ability to proactively approach tasks
  • Strong intuition and ability to develop and maintain high trust and to be comfortable working with limited instruction and guidance
  • Poise and professionalism to match the seasoned executives for whom they support
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Apps
  • BS or BA degree preferred

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

Are you looking for a unique experience where you can showcase your cosmetology skills while being a part of an award winning company culture at one of DC’s best tech companies? The Knot Worldwide is seeking a hair stylist (you!) to join our team, responsible for providing in-office cuts and styling to employees in our on-site salon. You will make an impact on the employee experience of the team in our Chevy Chase, MD office.  This role is a 6-month contract with the possibility to extend.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Perform hair services (blowouts, styling, hair cuts, scalp massage, etc) in our in-office salon during normal business hours (flexible work schedule within the hours of Mon - Fri, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm).
  • With a high level of hospitality and professionalism, provide a unique and positive experience for employees.
  • Manage employee appointment booking, rescheduling, and cancellations in our online booking system, Calendly.
  • Maintain a high level of order in the salon and perform light cleaning including washing towels, disinfect the shampoo bowl and countertop, sweep, etc.
  • Partner with our Office and Employee Experience team to manage the salon supply and product inventory so orders can be placed accordingly.

SUCCESSFUL STYLISTS CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • A current and valid Cosmetology license for Maryland.
  • Amazing styling and finishing skills.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A High School diploma and are at least 18 years old.
  • The availability to work at least 10-20 hours in our Chevy Chase, MD office.
  • A strong service ethic and a passion for creating a positive experience through hospitality.

YOU ARE:

  • Self-motivated, managing your own time and use down time to be proactive.
  • A multi-tasker, but prioritize tasks by urgency and importance.
  • Comfortable collaborating with others.
  • Experienced in managing G-suite tools (Gmail, Calendar, Chat) and Calendly.
  • Experienced and well-versed in working in a studio style salon.
  • Attentive to details and take pride in thoughtful work.
