TKWW has an opportunity for a highly-motivated E-Commerce Product Copywriter to contribute to our exciting in-house online wedding registry team’s new marketplace (launching late 2019). We’re looking for an organized individual to manage a workflow of daily copy deliverables and ensure important trend information and selling points are communicated in a compelling way.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Work with a team to ensure voice and tone of copy is consistent with The Knot’s brand.
  • Efficiently manage a heavy workload of daily copy deliverables across all categories (home, experience gifts, gift cards, etc.), meeting accuracy, efficiency and quality control standards.
  • Translate product specs into authoritative, lively, benefit-oriented copy that sells.
  • Understand SEO best practices and how to integrate high volume keywords and phrases into PDP copy for optimum search results.
  • Write creative copy for collections and unique products, maintaining consistency with branding and voice.
  • Resolve missing or incorrect product information.
  • Ensure products received meet quality control standards.
  • Ensure top-selling features are consistently presented in PDP copy. 
  • Research individual products home trends, buzzwords, and competitive sites to improve upon product copy. 

SUCCESSFUL E-COMMERCE PRODUCT COPYWRITERS CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, journalism, communications, advertising or marketing
  • Minimum 2 years of copywriting experience in advertising, direct marketing, promotion, or publishing
  • Experience in advertising, direct marketing, promotion, or publishing preferred
  • Experience in e-commerce, specifically home product descriptions preferred

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

TKWW is looking for an E-Commerce Photo Retoucher to contribute to our online wedding registry team’s new marketplace (launching late 2019). Our Photo Retoucher will aide in editing product photography for our e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate is available to work 40 hours a week, and can work onsite at our offices in NYC. This is a full-time employment opportunity, and we will not be considering remote candidates at this time.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Editing/enhancing/retouching/resizing of e-commerce product photography image files.
  • Accountable for maintaining an organized workflow and file management.
  • Responsible for maintaining a dialogue with the e-commerce team about workflow and expectations.
  • Quality control on all requests, fixing images as needed to meet direction or needs.
  • Responsible for retouching of images in the timeframes requested.
  • Mock-up and modify partner designs specs to support vendor outreach.

This person will also work with the deputy and executive editors on evergreen content, including lifestyle stories, health features and product roundups.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Source, pitch, write and build 3-5 news stories a day
  • Set editorial lineups for The Bump email newsletters
  • Write and update existing product roundups 
  • Write and update existing core content articles
  • Coordinate The Bump Best of Baby annual awards program 
  • Onboard and interview contributors, including experts and parents wishing to share personal experiences

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM: 

As a member of the WeddingWire Social Media Team, the Social Media Intern will execute on WeddingWire’s social media strategies; curate content; monitor, cultivate, and engage with our social communities, and share creative ideas around growing WeddingWire’s social media networks.  The intern’s focus will be primarily on Instagram. 

This is an hourly, paid internship in our Chevy Chase, MD office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creatively and innovatively drive social media content and engagement across various social media channels, with a focus on instagram
  • Partner with the members of the social media team and assist in the execution of WeddingWire’s social initiatives and strategies
  • Create and curate daily content that builds meaningful connections and encourages follower engagement
  • Monitor, cultivate and engage with followers on a daily basis, participating in conversations that surround our content, brand and audiences

SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Demonstrated success managing social media communities (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat) specifically with a minimum of one year experience in digital marketing or social media
  • Understanding of all social media platforms including optimization of content by platform and the nuances of each platform
  • Ability to adapt voice to meet brand guidelines and an exceptional visual intelligence with a “good eye” to identify visual content that will resonate with followers
  • A wealth of fun, creative ideas and a web-savvy exuberance to keep up with new technologies
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (or for students, an in-progress Degree) with a strong academic record

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

As a member of the WeddingWire.in Social Media team, the Social Media Specialist is responsible for the execution of WeddingWire.in’s consumer social media strategy.  You will take care of the social media team’s daily management of WeddingWire.in social media accounts - Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest.  The Social Media Executive will curate and schedule content, as well as monitor and analyze follower behavior and make recommendations on appropriate strategies to grow followers and engagement across WeddingWire.in’s channels. Key duties include shortlisting images from vendors’ social media accounts, developing content for posting, researching new channels, maintaining posting schedules.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interact (through phone, email, DMs) and build a good rapport with our vendor community (specially photographers and makeup artists) to source image and video content 
  • Evangelize WeddingWire.in among social media communities to engage with couples planning their weddings 
  • Create original content that builds meaningful connections and encourages follower engagement 
  • Engage with followers on a daily basis, participating in conversations that surround our content and brand 
  • Collaborate with the reporting manager on new campaign initiatives and exchange best practices 
  • Build WeddingWire.in’s awareness across all social media networks 
  • Collect, aggregate, and analyze data to extract insights and communicate the risk, impact, and opportunities to members of the marketing team and beyond 
  • Manage and execute the annual social media calendar 
  • Constantly test new ideas and engage with our followers across all platforms 

SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST CANDIDATES HAVE: 

  • Minimum 1 year of social media experience 
  • Demonstrated success with managing social media channels Facebook, Instagram 
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of all social media platforms.  This includes knowing what type of content works best on what platform, optimizing content accordingly, as well as understanding the different nuances of each platform. 
  • Visual intelligence: Must have a “good eye” and identify visual content that will resonate with WeddingWire.in’s followers. 
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects 
  • Web savvy and enjoys keeping up with new content-sharing technologies online 
  • Strong creative writing and communications skills 
  • Strong commitment to timelines, accuracy, and professionalism 
  • Proven ability to deliver results driving follower growth and engagement growth 
  • Excellent writing skills, copy/editing skills 
  • Understanding of videography, photography (editing on Photoshop, Canva, Over etc.) (desired, not mandatory)

We’re looking for a talented graphic designer to join our fast-paced, in-house Creative Marketing team. This person will work closely with stakeholders across Marketing from copywriters to other designers to our internal marketing gurus to produce onbrand design that creates a joyful user experience and elevates our brands. The primary area of focus will be on our WeddingPro brand, with opportunities to design projects for our consumer brands and The Knot Worldwide company initiatives.

The ideal candidate would promote and practice user-centered design in creating deliverables across web, mobile, email, social platforms and occasionally print. The majority of the work will be digital, but this person must possess solid PRINT skills too.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work under the direction of the Creative Director and Senior Design Marketing Manager
  • Passionately maintain the look and feel of our brands’ visual style while finding new and exciting ways to expand our use of existing design elements
  • Work on projects that include but are not limited to Marketing campaigns, desktop and mobile web design, social media, and emails
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to help ensure that the strategic goals and objectives are met

As a member of the WeddingWire.in Social Media team, the Social Media Specialist is responsible for the execution of WeddingWire.in’s consumer social media strategy.  You will take care of the social media team’s daily management of WeddingWire.in social media accounts - Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest.  The Social Media Executive will curate and schedule content, as well as monitor and analyze follower behavior and make recommendations on appropriate strategies to grow followers and engagement across WeddingWire.in’s channels. WeddingWire’s Business Development Executive will join this high-growth team to build the leading global platform connecting engaged couples with wedding and event professionals in India. We are seeking fluent English and Hindi speaking professionals who will focus on creating relationships with local event business owners, understanding their needs, and onboarding them through education to grow our Indian web portal.  This role will work out of our office in Gurgaon, India.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Through phone conversations, identify, recruit and onboard new wedding professionals (photographers, banquet halls, makeup artists, etc.) with exceptional customer service
  • Create positive and productive customer experiences as a brand ambassador while scheduling and conducting vendor meetings in an efficient and timely manner
  • In a consultative and organized way, solicit and document information about prospective vendors’ services
  • Drive success for company and customers and ensure quality and compliance with company guidelines by validating data through client follow up
  • Influence and educate prospective clients about the WeddingWire products, its benefits to their business and the success that they can expect as a pioneering member of our India platform

The Couples Experience Representative position:

The Couples Experience Representative is responsible for providing superior customer service, marketing insights and basic tech-support to our couples!  You will manage client questions via phone, email, social channels and live chat.   Strong communication and problem-solving skills are a must. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately, efficiently and professionally answer all incoming phone calls, emails and live chats

The Print Specialist is responsible for providing superior customer service, marketing insights and best practices to our local wedding pros regarding print advertising!  You’ll work closely with local wedding professionals post-sale to assist customers with their print ad campaigns by providing tips and insights regarding best print practices. This position acts a liaison between the wedding pro and the art department. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately, efficiently and professionally answer all incoming calls and emails 
  • Collect camera ready artwork or high resolution materials required to build a print advertisement 
  • Process artwork by communicating with the art department via system, with clear and complete instructions 
  • Send proofs to clients and obtain final written approvals 
  • Organize final proofs in accordance with the magazine thumbnail and cross reference against tracking to ensure all ads are the correct size/shape and accounted for 
  • Attend book close meetings to discuss ad placement, late sales and any problem accounts/potential cancels 
  • Review entire dummy book contents to ensure all ads and information are correct and accounted for and grant approval before final magazine printing
  • Compile and maintain complimentary magazine lists for paid advertisers

The Knot Worldwide is seeking a strategic member of the team to participate in high level product and business decisions. As a Product Analytics Engineer,  you will impact the evolution of the event model development across our brands to track the performance between the two marketplaces. The ideal candidate should be comfortable learning about the various analytics systems that are currently used by TK, WW, Bodas, Matrimonio, and other brands. The candidate should have used a few of these in large scale web and mobile (iOS, Android) applications. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Basic SQL querying skills and some database design knowledge
  • Experience with business analytics reporting tools (e.g. – Tableau)
  • Web analytics tools (WebTrends, Google Analytics, CoreMetrics)
  • Own Google Tag Manager installation and configuration in our applications and tags management through QA and production lifecycle
  • Must have excellent problem solving skills and have a knack for numbers and for recognizing trends and patterns in large amounts of data
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting skills in order to assist 3rd party analytics code running in the browser or in a mobile application
  • Working with the marketing team on setting them up with the correct flow 
  • Controlling for the impact of tags that are added through GTM. 
  • Owning event tracking: design and definition of data, implementation and coordination for the front end team, verifying the data, QA-ing the validity of the data

SUCCESSFUL PRODUCT ANALYTICS ENGINEER CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3+ years of experience with Google Analytics (with custom event reporting), BigQuery, Segment.com, Google Tag Manager, Google Optimize, Mixpanel

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a senior engineer on the Planning Tools team helping develop The Knot’s suite of tools that couples use to inspire, plan, book, and manage their wedding.

  • Provide mentorship to junior members of the team

SUCCESSFUL SOFTWARE ENGINEER CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 3+ years overall engineering experience. 
  • 3+ years hands-on proven track record implementing JavaScript frontend applications and/or scalable backend APIs. 
  • 2+ years of experience using React. 
  • Experience working in an Agile, TDD environment. 
  • Experience with production Node.js solutions.
  • Experience with AWS concepts and technology.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch is a plus
  • Experience with Hapi.js is a plus. 
  • Pair programming experience is a plus. 
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus.
