ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:  

The Knot Worldwide has an opportunity for a highly-motivated Vendor Performance Specialist to contribute to our exciting in-house online wedding registry product. This position will be a full-time role based in our NYC office, and will work directly with our Business Development team to provide support for our vendor partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support Registry Partnerships:

  • Build monthly/quarterly performance reviews for participating partners:
    • Creation performance, click to create trends and overall health of partner business
    • Manage and support product performance including monthly/quarterly checks of partner programs
  • Assist manager with financial models to help size potential opportunities or risks when changes in partnership terms arise
  • Marketing Performance and Collaboration
    • Review program goals, collect assets, review mocks with partners, and provide tracking links for attribution with affiliate partners
  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of partner-dedicated campaigns that are built in house

Registry Performance & Health of Business/Portfolio

  • Monitors and analyzes year-over-year performance, partnership outlook, and anticipated changes to our product by partner
  • Review monthly billing and communicate any contract changes with legal, accounting, and finance
  • Monitor partner integrations and optimizations; work with Operations on proposing integration optimizations to partners and present the business case to partners
  • Lead collection and management of partner assets

SUCCESSFUL VENDOR PERFORMANCE SPECIALIST CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 1-2 years of Affiliate Marketing and/or E-commerce experience preferred
  • Analytical and data-driven; experience in web analytics preferred

The Financial Planning and Analysis team provides comprehensive financial insight into our business, forecasting and driving efficient growth. We partner with business leaders across The Knot Worldwide to forecast TKWW’s continued growth and provide timely insights, reporting, and analysis on high-impact business decisions. TKWW is looking for an innately-curious, data-driven, and self-starting Director to join our team in the DC metro area. The Director's primary function is to coordinate and analyze financial information in order to forecast TKWW’s performance, provide actionable reporting and recommendations, and inform strategic planning across the Company. As a leader on TKWW’s FP&A team you will work with an FP&A team across DC, NYC, and Barcelona to help scale our planning and analysis capabilities, globally, across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Modeling: Understand KPIs and business drivers to create financial models and evaluate strategic alternatives.
  • Analysis: Design and execute regular financial analysis to identify critical areas for attention and the evaluation of strategic options.
  • Reporting: Build repeatable processes to prepare reports and presentations for management, the Board, and other key stakeholders.  Provide meaningful and informative analysis to explain any variations in the business results from the financial plan.  Focus on automation and system driven solutions.
  • Planning: Develop department-level financial budgets and forecasts (across a diverse set of business types) utilizing inputs from department managers and project-focused spending plans. Establish a deep understanding of key drivers of each supported function and leverage data to build insights about our products and competitors.
  • Collaboration: Effectively collaborate with the Accounting team on completion of monthly and quarterly financial closes and incorporation of actual results into the rolling forecast.
  • Partner with department managers outside of the Finance and Accounting teams for forecast inputs, ad hoc analysis and process improvements. Serve as the financial thought-partner to cross-functional teams.
  • Take initiative to automate management reporting and document business processes.
  • Help develop and monitor critical success metrics, and communicate actionable insights to relevant stakeholders. 

SUCCESSFUL DIRECTOR, FP&A CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree from a competitive university in business administration, finance, accounting or statistics or a related field. Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong quantitative analysis skills.
  • 7+ years experience in a financial/analytical role with a record of increasing responsibility. 
  • Experience managing direct reports.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively and convincingly communicate in meetings with senior stakeholders.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient knowledge of Google Sheets and Slides. 
  • Ability to build models from scratch as well as improve existing models, ensuring their quality, timeliness and accuracy.

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Data Engineer plays a key role in developing the data warehouse infrastructure that is used by the entire organization.  Our mission is to provide reliable, performant, timely and understandable centralized data services to TKWW. 

This is a multi-disciplinary role that involves managing infrastructure resources as well as utilizing technologies ranging from low level python and shell coding to enterprise ETL and Business Intelligence reporting tools. The Data Engineer assists in providing the data and information needed for The Knot WorldWide to be the leading data-driven software product company in the wedding events industry. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Extract, load and transform data from The Knot Worldwide and other sources to our DataWarehouse for the consumption of our end users.
  • Design and develop solutions for integration between disparate systems which include cloud-based sources such as Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Maintaining current ETL processes and resolve daily ETL job failures as they arise.
  • Resolve Ad-hoc data questions from the organization in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Continuous improvement on current ETL processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness and scalability as data volumes grow.
  • Document built processes and data content and publish needed information to our data dictionary

SUCCESSFUL DATA ENGINEERS  HAVE:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred. An advanced degree or professional licensing is a plus.
  • Programming experience and a demonstrated interest in statistical analysis, informatics, analytics, or business intelligence
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience with SQL and Data Warehouse development
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of the following Databases (MYSQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, MSSQL, Redshift) 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrate self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm.
  • Present ideas, expectations and information in a concise, well-organized way.
  • Conduct research and make recommendations on BI requirements, products, and services.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to learn more about The Bash and to help assist our marketing and editorial efforts while gaining valuable career experience in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Write highly effective editorial content such as evergreen SEO stories, party and event trend articles, and pop culture news coverage 
  • Support PR efforts (preparing segment content, crafting pitch ideas)
  • Surface and feature the stories of unique events and vendors from The Bash
  • Stay up-to-date with entertaining and hosting trends, including celebrity news and viral moments
  • Contact websites/blogs that mention The Bash/GigMasters to update backlinks
  • Reaching out to bloggers for party trends/ideas
  • Sourcing imagery for content purposes and managing photographer submissions
  • Rewrite and update articles and blogs for our rebrand

SUCCESSFUL MARKETING & EDITORIAL INTERNS HAVE:

  • Strong written communications skills

  • Passion for social marketing and experience with Pinterest (developing and creating pins)

The creative and well-organized Marketing Intern (you!) will assist in all things social media, marketing and community management for Two Bright Lights and How They Asked.  You will bring a passion for the wedding industry and curate beautiful photography from our database of photographers & vendors to share through Two Bright Lights social media, marketing materials, and more. This entry-level position during the winter/spring months is a full-time role based out of our New York City office.

What you'll do

  • Assist in all things social media, marketing and community management for Two Bright Lights and How They Asked
  • Curate beautiful photography from our database of photographers & vendors to share through Two Bright Lights social media, marketing materials, and more
  • Identify social-worthy proposals & pull images for How They Asked social media
  • Assist with managing content calendars for Two Bright Lights’ & How They Asked’s social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Youtube, etc.) as needed
  • Research trends in the social and digital landscape to implement across both brands to drive traffic & engagement
  • Monitor analytics with the team to identify possible opportunities
  • Help with editor mailers and/or email marketing materials, when necessary
  • Assist with planning and production of Two Bright Lights events & webinars
  • Assist in creation and execution of email marketing materials such as Pinterest templates, branded graphics, and more

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

As a member of the WeddingWire.in Social Media team, the Social Media Specialist is responsible for the execution of WeddingWire.in’s consumer social media strategy.  You will take care of the social media team’s daily management of WeddingWire.in social media accounts - Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest.  The Social Media Executive will curate and schedule content, as well as monitor and analyze follower behavior and make recommendations on appropriate strategies to grow followers and engagement across WeddingWire.in’s channels. Key duties include shortlisting images from vendors’ social media accounts, developing content for posting, researching new channels, maintaining posting schedules.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interact (through phone, email, DMs) and build a good rapport with our vendor community (specially photographers and makeup artists) to source image and video content 
  • Evangelize WeddingWire.in among social media communities to engage with couples planning their weddings 
  • Create original content that builds meaningful connections and encourages follower engagement 
  • Engage with followers on a daily basis, participating in conversations that surround our content and brand 
  • Collaborate with the reporting manager on new campaign initiatives and exchange best practices 
  • Build WeddingWire.in’s awareness across all social media networks 
  • Collect, aggregate, and analyze data to extract insights and communicate the risk, impact, and opportunities to members of the marketing team and beyond 
  • Manage and execute the annual social media calendar

  • Minimum 1 year of social media experience

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

As a member of the WeddingWire.in Social Media team, the Social Media Specialist is responsible for the execution of WeddingWire.in’s consumer social media strategy.  You will take care of the social media team’s daily management of WeddingWire.in social media accounts - Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest.  The Social Media Executive will curate and schedule content, as well as monitor and analyze follower behavior and make recommendations on appropriate strategies to grow followers and engagement across WeddingWire.in’s channels. Key duties include shortlisting images from vendors’ social media accounts, developing content for posting, researching new channels, maintaining posting schedules.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interact (through phone, email, DMs) and build a good rapport with our vendor community (specially photographers and makeup artists) to source image and video content 
  • Evangelize WeddingWire.in among social media communities to engage with couples planning their weddings 
  • Create original content that builds meaningful connections and encourages follower engagement 
  • Engage with followers on a daily basis, participating in conversations that surround our content and brand 
  • Collaborate with the reporting manager on new campaign initiatives and exchange best practices

The Benefits Administrator will be an entry level role responsible for supporting the employee benefit programs within our company. This role will report directly to the Manager, Total Rewards. This role is a customer-facing position, interacting with our most important clients - our employees! This role will be located in our Chevy Chase MD office.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assisting in the day to day administration of the company benefit plans
  • Assist in planning and executing all benefit programs including but not limited to Benefit Fairs, Open Enrollment initiatives, and other various efforts
  • Oversee maintenance of employee benefit files and maintain group benefits database
  • Coordinate and manage all leave of absences across US employee base
  • Process claims or requests (insurance plans, workers compensation, etc.)
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of monthly carrier premiums & partner with the Finance team on timely payment
  • Manage HRIS benefits portal for enrollments, approvals, and accuracy
  • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers
  • Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package; design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment and summary plan descriptions
  • Collaborate and maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders, including but not limited to, Finance & Accounting, Payroll, FP&A, Executives, employees, benefit carriers, benefit brokers, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Point person for first impression for all guests and interview candidates 
  • Manages all employee questions and provides a white glove experience
  • Maintains the office and conference room cleanliness
  • Restocks reception pantry 
  • Escalates requests to facilities manager when needed
  • Assists with vendor management alongside Facilities Manager (in DC) and HR partner on site. Including but not limited to: coffee management, snow removal, parking lot paving and plumbing.
  • Helps as an administrator for the LiveSafe safety app and is well-versed in how to use it
  • Manages internal powerpoint for office space with open positions, birthdays and anniversaries each week.

We are seeking an experienced and impassioned Sr. Product Manager to help us transform wedding planning into a delightful journey while helping couples get the hard work done with confidence. We’re looking for that special someone to ensure that The Knot stays #1 in Weddings by bringing your entrepreneurial spirit, creative problem solving, and user-centric design thinking to our team. You’ll work closely with exceptional design and tech leads. Your Marketing and PR partners are knowledgeable and collaborative, having built up key relationships in the industry over many years.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Through phone conversations, identify, recruit and onboard new wedding professionals (photographers, banquet halls, makeup artists, etc.) with exceptional customer service

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Data Specialist Team is dedicated to ensuring our internal and external data is robust and accurate. This is accomplished by meticulous research and problem solving to ensure both visitors to our sites and internal business users have access to the most up-to-date and accurate information available.  The team explores internal and external avenues to source new prospect data to continually feed our sales organization new opportunities. Additionally, the team works to streamline and automate processes to update stale information that exists in our databases.

The Data Operations Specialist is the gatekeeper of incoming data to our local business. You will be responsible for sourcing, verifying and enriching incoming and existing records in our databases and internal systems. To manage data you will be leveraging tools that can be configured to identify duplicative or outdated information on a large scale and updating the data as a result. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize are musts as you will be sifting through and analyzing large quantities of data and juggling multiple projects of varying importance. You must also have excellent communication skills and an ability to work with sales teams and internal and external operations teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of projects and data work. Need to be proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and experience with Salesforce is preferred but not required. The role reports to the Senior Manager of Local Data Operations.

As a Product Analytics Engineer,  you will impact the evolution of the event model development across our brands to track the performance between the two marketplaces. The ideal candidate should be comfortable learning about the various analytics systems that are currently used by TK, WW, Bodas, Matrimonio, and other brands. The candidate should have used a few of these in large scale web and mobile (iOS, Android) applications. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Basic SQL querying skills and some database design knowledge

The planning tools team develops our industry leading suite of planning tools, including the Checklist, Budgeter, Wedding Vision, Wedding Day Timeline, and Vendor Manager. The apps you will be working on greet new users on their dashboard and are integral to solving user pain points and business goals. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a senior engineer on the Planning Tools team helping develop The Knot’s suite of tools that couples use to inspire, plan, book, and manage their wedding.
  • Produce well-tested, maintainable code on the back-end and front-end that can stand up to 100,000 requests per day.
  • Collaborate in the Agile development process to help architect, build, and ship new products and features.
  • Be an advocate for coding best practices on the team, and stay up-to-date on new technologies and industry standards.

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The individual's primary role will be to support and develop applications for our vendor marketplace. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leverage skills and experience to implement product features that are well architected, tested, and understandable.
  • Actively participate in the ideation and execution of product roadmap, architecture discussions, and Agile planning.

SUCCESSFUL SOFTWARE ENGINEER CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 3+ years overall engineering experience. 
  • 3+ years hands-on proven track record implementing JavaScript frontend applications and/or scalable backend APIs. 
  • 2+ years of experience using React. 
  • Experience working in an Agile, TDD environment. 
  • Experience with production Node.js solutions.
  • Experience with AWS concepts and technology.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch is a plus
  • Experience with Hapi.js is a plus. 
  • Pair programming experience is a plus. 
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus. 
  • Experience with Redux or other global state management tools

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Knot Worldwide is seeking a Senior PHP Developer to join our team.  Someone who considers solid test coverage to be a critical part of the development process. A Developer who is an advocate for Agile processes and a strong believer in the importance of Agile when producing high-quality software. You understand the importance of automated tests and the role of unit tests for maintainable code. You are able to set milestones and exercise independent judgment to complete projects on time and to specifications. You have strong communication skills, and the ability to explain problems to technical and non-technical folks alike. A love for sharing knowledge and a desire to learn from others. A passion for self-improvement. You constantly strive to expand your technical skill set and to improve the quality of your code. You enjoy finding new ways to produce great code at a blazing pace.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a senior engineer for the Austin TKWW team
  • Manage, maintain, and upgrade Magento platform
  • Produce well-tested, maintainable code on the back-end and front-end that can stand up to 100,000 requests per day
  • Collaborate in the Agile development process to help architect, build, and ship new products and features
  • Be an advocate for coding best practices on the team, and stay up-to-date on new technologies and industry standards
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to other engineers on the team, and act as a mentor to more junior teammates
  • Engage with the tech organization beyond our team by participating in company-wide decisions on architecture, data, and process patterns
  • Partner with Product to maintain the right balance between feature and technical work 

SUCCESSFUL SENIOR PHP DEVELOPER CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Minimum 4 years experience as a software engineer building beautiful, scalable, and highly visible web applications
  • Minimum 1 year experience with Magento 
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of PHP7, Apache/NGINX, Varnish, Redis, MySQL/SQL, Elasticsearch, CSS, Bootstrap, HTML5 / Javascript/jQuery
  • In-depth understanding of server configuration, optimization, caching, and scaling techniques
  • Experience in one or more of the following technologies a bonus: Node, Ruby on Rails, React/Redux/ES6/Webpack, Postgres, Mongo. 
  • Familiarity with the latest Javascript technologies and experience building new front-end features in a modern framework such as React (exposure to a range of front-end frameworks and component libraries is a plus!)
  • Experience working with Cloud infrastructure platforms (experience with AWS a plus!) 
  • Experience implementing, consuming, and optimizing APIs. 
  • A track record of delivering creative solutions to complex architectural problems
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks on the back-end and front-end
