RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop & execute the day-to-day and long-term growth strategy in partnership with the broader cross functional team

SUCCESSFUL HEAD OF STATIONERY E-COMMERCE CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 10+ years of experience in a high velocity startup environment, or similar, with demonstrated eCommerce expertise (preferably including web-to-print)
  • Strong and versatile business acumen, keen business analysis skills and an understanding of the many factors at play in the evolution of a rapidly growing eCommerce service
  • Demonstrated managerial experience, including success with remote, multi-office, and multinational teams
  • Data-driven, results-oriented, and willing to break down walls
  • Excellent communication, presentation, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Ability to partner with all levels of an organization, including senior leadership
  • Scrappy and creative thinker; able to work independently to get stuff done

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Senior Accountant will assist the accounting department primarily in the validation of accuracy and completeness in close process as well as implementation of process improvements . Further, this role will perform high project management of an entire group within the accounting  team.. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Lead Accounting Manager. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with month-end closing, including preparing, reconciling and entering journal entries for complex accounting areas as well as reviewing staff workpapers for accuracy over general ledger accounts in areas such as accruals, sales commissions, AP, benefits, and more
  • Enhancing workpapers to ensure efficiencies and accuracy 
  • Performance of analytic procedures to identify fluctuations occurring as well as assist in continuous proper evaluation of the Company’s operations
  • Teaching team proper GAAP and accounting to assist in their growth and development 
  • Assist in managing the team to ensure adherence to deadlines for close and other related projects
  • Assist the Accounting Manager in creating validation accurate and timely dissemination of financial reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements.
  • Assist with financial audit preparation and responses for external audits
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring adherence to company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. 
  • Document accounting policies and procedures 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Assist Accounting Manager with special ad hoc projects 

SUCCESSFUL SENIOR ACCOUNTANT CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Must have 3+ years of public accounting experience
  • Must be proficient with other computer based accounting software and MS Office products
  • Ability to effectively extend knowledge and skills in a financial discipline. 
  • Ability to review, interpret, and explain financial data.
  • Strong general accounting skills and thorough knowledge of US GAAP and proposed new accounting standards
  • Working knowledge of Netsuite is a plus

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Knot Worldwide (TKWW) is looking for an Assistant Production Designer to contribute to our online wedding stationery collection. Our Assistant Production Designer will aide in building out Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign print files, plus create merchandising images from provided templates, and website production to get the designs live online. Additionally, this role entails some print design work, involving taking an existing wedding invitation style and applying those design elements to additional stationery items such as programs, labels, postcards and more. We are looking for individuals who are very detailed oriented, thrive in a fast pace, have a strong visual eye and impeccable design detail, excellent typography skills, and a background in writing. 

This position will be based in Portland, OR.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Accountable for maintaining an organized workflow and file management via organization & provided naming conventions
  • Responsible for maintaining a dialogue with the team about workflow, expectations & progress
  • Responsible for building out all design production files needed including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Responsible for writing creative copy that describes our stationery product with smart usage of SEO keywords
  • Responsible for adding products to our Drupal website; includes writing copy, creating and uploading merch images, and light coding
  • Responsible for designing matching stationery items (approximately 15-20 products) in the branded style of an existing invitation and the production associated with those designs. 

SUCCESSFUL ASSISTANT PRODUCTION DESIGNER CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Advanced knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop & InDesign with experience in graphic design for print materials
  • Excellent typography skills & graphic design experience - experience with stationery is a plus 
  • Copywriting experience
  • Light coding experience/familiarity with JSON
  • Basic knowledge and experience with CSS & HTML
  • Strong commitment to timelines, accuracy, and professionalism

As a member of the WeddingWire.in Social Media team, the Social Media Specialist is responsible for the execution of WeddingWire.in’s consumer social media strategy.  You will take care of the social media team’s daily management of WeddingWire.in social media accounts - Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest.  The Social Media Executive will curate and schedule content, as well as monitor and analyze follower behavior and make recommendations on appropriate strategies to grow followers and engagement across WeddingWire.in’s channels.   • Design and execute studies that uncover user behavior and attitudes, using the right methodology for the questions at hand.

SUCCESSFUL UX RESEARCH CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, other field emphasizing human behavior; will also consider other related fields.
  • 2+ years experience designing and executing research plans across methods.
  • Experience answering meaningful and impactful consumer product questions using research

We are seeking a talented Visual Designer to join our Product Design team.

Every year, millions of couples and guests use The Knot wedding websites to share their stories, and communicate around details for the big day. As our Visual Designer, your focus will be on the design of our wedding website themes. You’ll create themes that match popular wedding invitations, and will also design themes from scratch. You’ll collaborate with product managers, product designers, print designers, and engineers to bring your beautiful solutions to life.

SUCCESSFUL VISUAL DESIGNER CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • A gorgeous portfolio featuring websites and digital experiences you’ve designed. 
  • Work that demonstrates exceptional skill in typography, color, spacing, and hierarchy.
  • Natural visual aesthetic, and a strong design sense.  
  • The ability to speak to the creative process and how they arrived at the solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive revenue across platforms for all brands within assigned agencies/territories
  • Develop new relationships at all levels with agency and client partners.
  • Prospect, including the ability to qualify and close new accounts.

  • At least 5+ years of digital media experience in a sales or sales support role.
  • Experience at a leading publisher, technology or social media platform.
  • Must be client focussed seller who has experience in online/digital sales

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM: As the Head of Sales of WeddingWire India you will be the business champion and hold primary responsibility for revenue production, and operational effectiveness for one of the most dynamic, high growth divisions at The Knot Worldwide. ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

We are looking for a Manager with experience and a passion for sales process, strategy and productivity to join our team.  This role oversees business requirements and enhancements for our Sales CRM/Order Management system and related systems, administration of sales quotas and compensation administration and sales reporting & analysis. This role is focused on creating and managing a complete set of sales data to deliver actionable insights focused on revenue growth and sales productivity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Generate quarterly and annual revenue forecasts vs. budget weekly and comparisons on prior year’s pacing
  • Coordinate updates to weekly pipeline and pacing reports, present to sales leadership with a point of view on trending and insights
  • Prepare summaries for weekly sales meeting to show the latest bookings,pacing and other metrics to facilitate discussions
  • Provide ad hoc analysis as requested as well proactively) of sales productivity metrics (close rates, past booking trends) to quantify revenue opportunity and risk

Sales Targets & Compensation Administration:

  • Manage and update sales assignments for current and prospective accounts, including sales assignments, splits, etc.
  • Work with sales management on goal setting and goal adjustments
  • Manage quarterly and annual compensation including offer letters, individual monthly statements and calculation of final payments 
  • Update relevant systems (SFDC, OP1 and others) to reflect most up to date assignments and categorizations

Sales Systems:

  • Implement leading best practices in CRM and Order management for data collection, reporting, account hierarchies, order and user records

  • Optimize workflow based on user feedback as well as new system feature releases

ABOUT THE SENIOR DIRECTOR, US LOCAL MARKETPLACE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

We are hiring a senior director for our US Local Marketplace team which connects over 2 million engaged couples with +500,000 local wedding vendors (e.g. Venue, DJ, Florist, etc.) across the US each year. This position plays an essential role in solving complex problems across our two-sided marketplace in areas such as pricing, product strategy, go-to-market optimization, and analytics. This person needs to be a strong analytical thinker who is equally comfortable driving strategy as well as execution in a cross-functional environment in close coordination with stakeholders across sales, marketing, product, operations, and analytics. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for leading and taking complete ownership key strategic initiatives related to marketplaces across all TKWW brands (The Knot, WeddingWire, etc)
    • Identify problems & proactively come up with solutions rooted in data across all products & brands
    • Support internal capability development around marketplace management and optimization
  • Support the production and distribution of marketplace analytics including:
    • Marketplace health KPIs 
    • Retention reporting & optimization
    • Forecasting and scenario modeling
    • ROI/impact analysis
  • Identify new revenue opportunities and next-generation advertising products

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Knot Worldwide is looking for a highly motivated engineering leader with a passion for building elegant, delightful, and scalable web+mobile applications for consumers. The individual's primary role will be to set architectural guidelines and lead a team of engineers that support our squads building The Knot Platform. The candidate will be embedded in an Agile environment and work cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers across squads to provide the best in class web+mobile experiences for our users. The person must have a strong understanding of both front and back end development, highly adaptable to new technologies / software development concepts, and loves to work within a collaborative team environment. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set architectural guidelines, both software and infrastructure-related, for The Knot Platform
  • Actively participate in the ideation and execution of engineering OKRs, roadmap strategy, architecture discussions, and Agile planning
  • Promote best practices for engineering productivity, automated testing, continuous integration, code standards, and use of AWS
  • Provide engineering mentorship across the team

 SUCCESSFUL DIRECTOR, PLATFORM ARCHITECTURE CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 10+ years overall software engineering experience 
  • 10+ years hands-on proven track record implementing JavaScript frontend applications and scalable backend APIs in a service-oriented architecture on AWS
  • In-depth experience using Ruby on Rails, React, Node, Elasticsearch, Postgres, and AWS
  • In-depth experience working in an Agile, TDD environment 
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Thrives in a collaborative work culture with teammates located in-office or remote, across multiple locations in US and abroad
  • Experience with PHP, iOS, Android, and Mongo is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leverage skills and experience to implement product features that are well architected, tested, and understandable
  • Actively participate in the ideation and execution of product roadmap and Agile planning
  • Promote best practices surrounding TDD, continuous integration, code standards, etc.
  • Provide mentorship to junior members of the team

SUCCESSFUL SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 5+ years overall engineering experience
  • 3+ years hands-on proven track record implementing JavaScript frontend applications
  • 2+ years of experience using React
  • Experience working in an Agile, TDD environment
  • Experience with production Node.js solutions
    • Experience with Hapi.js and/or Next.js is a plus
  • Familiarity with modern infrastructure technologies such as AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Pair programming experience is a plus
  • Experience with ASP.NET Web API a plus

ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE TEAM:

The Knot Worldwide is seeking a full-stack engineer to join The Knot Registry team.

The Knot is the nation’s leading wedding marketplace, providing our couples with a personalized experience that guides them through the entire wedding planning journey. The Registry team develops tools for couples to register for gifts, for their guests to buy them, and the back-end systems to make it all happen stress-free. We are focused on streamlining the process for our users and on finding new ways to surface inspiration and advice where couples need it most.

The apps you will be working on introduce couples to what a wedding registry is and what kinds of things they can register for, guide them through creating a personalized registry all their own, and help them track gifts all the way to their doorstep.

We have ambitious, experiment-driven milestones but we also have a commitment to quality and agility. New code at all levels of the stack is expected to be extensible, high performing, scalable, and secure. What you build will make the wedding registry process more enjoyable and less stressful for millions of users.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help develop The Knot’s suite of tools—front-end and back-end—for creating, managing, and contributing to wedding registries of all kinds.
  • Produce well-tested, maintainable, and efficient code for highly available and performant systems.
  • Be an advocate for quality and curious about technology. You should like exploring new ideas and sharing what you know about everything from architecture to process.
  • Collaborate in an Agile development process to help conceive, make, and deliver new products and features. You should have an opinion on how to delight our users, and enjoy collaborating closely with engineering, product, and design.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a software engineer building beautiful, scalable, and highly visible web applications.
  • Experience building new front-end features in React. Exposure to a range of front-end frameworks and libraries is a plus.
  • Experience working on APIs in a modern stack. We primarily use Node, Postgres, and Elasticsearch. Strong experience with other languages and tools is fine as well.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and containers. We use AWS, Docker, and Kuberrnetes.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks on the back-end and front-end. You consider solid test coverage to be essential.
  • A track record of delivering creative solutions to complex architectural problems.
  • Comfort working in an agile process.
  • An ability to explain problems to technical and non-technical folks alike. A love for sharing knowledge and a desire to learn from others.
  • A passion for self-improvement. You constantly strive to expand your technical skill set and to improve the quality of your code.

The Knot Worldwide is seeking a Senior PHP Developer to join our team.  Someone who considers solid test coverage to be a critical part of the development process. A Developer who is an advocate for Agile processes and a strong believer in the importance of Agile when producing high-quality software. You understand the importance of automated tests and the role of unit tests for maintainable code. You are able to set milestones and exercise independent judgment to complete projects on time and to specifications. You have strong communication skills, and the ability to explain problems to technical and non-technical folks alike. A love for sharing knowledge and a desire to learn from others. A passion for self-improvement. You constantly strive to expand your technical skill set and to improve the quality of your code. You enjoy finding new ways to produce great code at a blazing pace.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a senior engineer for the Austin TKWW team
  • Manage, maintain, and upgrade Magento platform
  • Produce well-tested, maintainable code on the back-end and front-end that can stand up to 100,000 requests per day
  • Collaborate in the Agile development process to help architect, build, and ship new products and features
  • Be an advocate for coding best practices on the team, and stay up-to-date on new technologies and industry standards
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to other engineers on the team, and act as a mentor to more junior teammates
  • Engage with the tech organization beyond our team by participating in company-wide decisions on architecture, data, and process patterns
  • Partner with Product to maintain the right balance between feature and technical work 

SUCCESSFUL SENIOR PHP DEVELOPER CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Minimum 4 years experience as a software engineer building beautiful, scalable, and highly visible web applications
  • Minimum 1 year experience with Magento 
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of PHP7, Apache/NGINX, Varnish, Redis, MySQL/SQL, Elasticsearch, CSS, Bootstrap, HTML5 / Javascript/jQuery
  • In-depth understanding of server configuration, optimization, caching, and scaling techniques
  • Experience in one or more of the following technologies a bonus: Node, Ruby on Rails, React/Redux/ES6/Webpack, Postgres, Mongo. 
  • Familiarity with the latest Javascript technologies and experience building new front-end features in a modern framework such as React (exposure to a range of front-end frameworks and component libraries is a plus!)
  • Experience working with Cloud infrastructure platforms (experience with AWS a plus!) 
  • Experience implementing, consuming, and optimizing APIs.
