Contributions to a Linked Bank Account using Cash Funds Powered By Stripe

TKR makes it easy to create personalized cash funds for anything on your wish list from a honeymoon to a new home. To create and use cash funds, you must be a legal resident of the United States. Here's how it works:

• Setting Up Your Cash Fund. Registrants can create a cash fund in three simple steps: (1) create the cash fund on TKR, (2) link a personal bank account held by a U.S. financial institution to the fund, and (3) verify that bank account. Bank account verification is required before Guests can contribute. Once your bank account is verified, you can create additional cash funds and Guests can contribute to all of them right away.

• Contributing to a Cash Fund. Guests can contribute to any active cash fund directly on TKR using supported funding methods. Supported funding methods include U.S.-issued credit cards and debit cards. All contributions are sent directly to the Registrant’s linked bank account once our fraud review is complete, and in accordance with standard credit card and banking processing times.

• Processing Fees. When contributing to a cash fund on TKR, Guests are responsible for paying a small processing fee at checkout. This fee is required by Stripe, your credit card provider, and/or your banking institution — The Knot does not collect or retain any portion of it. The amount of the processing fee is subject to change at the sole discretion of Stripe, the applicable credit card entity, and/or banking institution, and is outside of our control. The applicable fee will be displayed at checkout before you complete your contribution.

• How Your Information is Protected. All information provided by Registrants and Guests in connection with a cash fund is protected using industry-standard encryption, including the Secure Socket Layer ("SSL") protocol. Encryption significantly reduces the risk of your payment or banking information being intercepted or stolen during transmission.

• Third-Party Processing & Limitations of Liability. Cash funds on TKR are powered by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Stripe connects your bank account to TKR, processes all Registrant and Guest information, and handles all fund contributions. All activity associated with a connected bank account and all contributions are governed by Stripe's Services Agreement, available at https://stripe.com/legal/ssa.

TKWW is not a party to, and expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for, any financial transactions made through or in connection with a cash fund. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TKWW shall not be liable for any losses, damages, delays, or failures arising out of or related to any cash fund transaction, including but not limited to failed transfers, unauthorized transactions, processing errors, or acts or omissions of Stripe or any other third-party provider. Your use of the cash fund feature is at your own risk, and any disputes related to transactions should be directed to Stripe in accordance with their Services Agreement.
