The Knot Peace of Mind Terms

Planning your wedding should feel exciting, not stressful. The Knot Peace of Mind is a complimentary support service (the “Services”) designed to help if a vendor you booked cancels unexpectedly. The Services are designed to provide helpful support in unexpected situations, while leaving all final decisions and vendor relationships in your control.

These The Knot Peace of Mind Terms (“Peace of Mind Terms”) describe how the Services work and the conditions under which they are offered. These Peace of Mind Terms are part of, and incorporate, The Knot Terms of Use (the “Terms of Use”). By using or requesting the Services, you agree to these Peace of Mind Terms and the Terms of Use.

1. Overview of the Services

The Knot Peace of Mind is a complimentary support service intended to assist eligible users if an Eligible Vendor they booked cancels certain services.

If you are eligible, the Services may include:

  1. Concierge Assistance. Our concierge team will a) confirm receipt of your request and provide next steps, b) attempt to identify alternative vendors in the same category and general area, and c) share up to 3 potential vendor options, where available (“Concierge Service”). We cannot guarantee that any alternatives will be available to you. If we are unable to find suitable alternative vendors for you, we will promptly inform you.

Discretionary Goodwill Rebooking Credit. In certain cases, The Knot may, in its sole discretion, provide a goodwill rebooking credit in the form of a third-party gift card of up to $500 USD to help offset any price difference between your original vendor and a replacement vendor (“Goodwill Rebooking Credit”).

2. Eligibility

To be eligible for the Services, all the of the following conditions must be met (“Eligibility Criteria”):

  1. You are a registered The Knot user located in the United States;
  2. Your event is located in the United States;
  3. You initially contacted the Eligible Vendor through The Knot on or after April 14, 2026;
  4. The vendor displayed a “Peace of Mind” badge at the time of contact (the “Eligible Vendor”);
  5. You marked the Eligible Vendor as “booked” in your The Knot account on or after April 14, 2026;
  6. You entered into a written contract with the Eligible Vendor;
  7. The Eligible Vendor cancels the contracted services;
  8. The cancellation occurs between 90 and 14 days prior to your wedding date;
  9. The cancellation is not due any events beyond an Eligible Vendor’s reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, severe weather event, war, civil unrest or similar force majeure events, as determined by The Knot in our sole discretion; and 
  10. You submit a request using this form at least 10 days prior to your wedding date. 

The Knot determines your eligibility for the Services in our sole discretion. The Knot may update or modify the Eligibility Criteria at any time without notice in our sole discretion.

3. The Knot’s Role

The Knot provides a marketplace platform and related support services. In connection with the Services The Knot: a) is not a party to any agreement between you and any vendor (Eligible Vendor or replacement); b) does not select or book vendors on your behalf; or c) does not guarantee vendor availability, pricing, performance, or quality.

Any decision to engage a vendor is made solely by you, and any agreement you enter into is directly between you and the vendor.

4. Goodwill Rebooking Credit

  1. Discretionary Nature. Any Goodwill Rebooking Credit is not guaranteed, is provided solely at The Knot’s discretion, and is offered as a courtesy and not as compensation reimbursement, or indemnification. 
  2. Conditions. To be considered for a Goodwill Rebooking Credit, you must: a) book a replacement vendor The Knot identified through the Concierge Service; and b) provide proof of booking and payment for that vendor to The Knot to help@theknotww.com within 30 days of your wedding date. The Knot will determine what is significant proof of booking and payment in our sole discretion.

Amount and Delivery. The Knot will determine the amount, if any, of the Goodwill Rebooking Credit, in our sole discretion, with the maximum credit being $500. The Goodwill Rebooking Credit will be issued as a third party gift card. You will receive the gift card by email within 30 days from the date we decide to issue the Goodwill Rebooking Credit. The gift card is subject to the issuing provider’s terms and is not redeemable for cash except where required by law.

5. No Insurance; No Guarantee

The Services are intended as a support feature and do not a) constitute insurance, b) provide indemnification or coverage for losses, or c)  create any obligation for The Knot to provide financial compensation or replacement services. Any goodwill credit is discretionary and not a contractual entitlement.

6. Changes to the Services

The Knot may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Services at any time. We may also update these Peace of Mind Terms, and continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of any updates.

7. Governing Terms

These Peace of Mind Terms are incorporated into the Terms of Use. In the event of any conflict, these Peace of Mind Terms apply with respect to the Services.
