The Bump Pump and Dump Validation Comedy Tour Reveals The Honest and Hilarious Happenings of New Motherhood

Nationwide Tour, sponsored by The Bump, Kicks Off on February 4th at Largo in Los Angeles

NEW YORK, NY/January 12, 2015The Bump, the fastest growing multiplatform pregnancy and parenting brand, and The Pump and Dump, a “parentally incorrect” comedy and music show, today announced The Bump Pump and Dump Validation Tour.  Coming to a half-dozen cities across the country, the tour’s opening night is in Los Angeles on February 4, 2015 at Largo at The Coronet. Each comedy show promises to be a raucous, parents’ night out, designed to laugh away the most arduous of kid-filled days over cocktails and allow parents to remember who they were before having children.  Tour cities include New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, and more.

Comedian and musician Shayna Ferm and her sidekick, Tracey Tee (aka MC Doula), have created The Pump and Dump: A Parentally Incorrect Comedy Show and Night Out, For Once, which is filled with their signature, irreverent, parenthood-inspired comedy merged with music, prizes, and parental commiseration to sooth the souls of restless parents who need a night out. Live musical performances throughout the evening include songs like, “Eat Your F-ing Food,” “When I Die, I Want to Come Back as a Dad,” and “The Lies We Tell Ourselves.” Audience participation is encouraged with segments such as “Stump the Breeder” and the wildly popular “The Most F-ed Up Thing My Kid Did This Week,” where moms write down the craziest thing their kid did recently and Shayna and Tracey read the cards on stage – an amazingly cathartic and hilarious presentation.

“We fell in love with The Pump and Dump because it makes an audience full of new moms laugh, cry and feel validated with their parenting experiences,” said The Bump Editor in Chief Rebecca Dolgin. “Parenthood is filled with joy, love, and surprises.  Not every day goes as planned and the show, like our website, app, and magazine, supports parents through the beautiful chaos of parenting—with laughter.  We couldn’t be happier to sponsor their nationwide tour.”

“We couldn’t have chosen a better partner than The Bump as we embark on our first year-long tour.” said Tracey Tee of The Pump and Dump. “The team at The Bump has a keen understanding that moms need information and support but also humor, camaraderie and a good dose of silliness. We’re thrilled to be a part of their esteemed group of contributors and are excited to bring the show to Bumpies nationwide.”

About The Pump and Dump
The Pump and Dump has been running to sold-out crowds in Denver, Colorado since its conception (pun intended) in 2012. Ferm and Tee, both moms to very young children, started the show as a cathartic gathering for parents at a small local bar and have watched it grow exponentially, now selling over 500 seats monthly in two premiere venues in Denver. The show started touring in March of 2014, hitting San Francisco, Chicago, NYC and Boston with their “You’re an Awesome Mom, This Shit is Hard” message, which has garnered an overwhelmingly positive response from moms everywhere, including an ever-growing cult following of #BREEDERS who see the show as often as they can.  The official mission of the Pump and Dump and its coinciding “Mom to Mom Project” is to spread generosity and humor, mom to mom, because we’re all just doing the best we can.
