The Knot Inc. Names Two New Executive Editors, Rebecca Dolgin and Sally Jones

Editors Bring Combined Editorial and Digital Experience in Parenting, Health, Fashion, and Lifestyle to Expanding Lifestage Media Network.

NEW YORK, NY (April 10, 2008) — The Knot Inc. (NASDAQ: KNOT), a leading lifestage media company, announced today that it has named Rebecca Dolgin as Vice President and Executive Editor of Print and Sally Jones as Vice President Executive Editor of Online. Cofounder and Editor in Chief Carley Roney will lead the multiplatform editorial staff at The Knot Inc. in the creation of fresh, forward content for its publications and websites. Their combined editorial and managerial experience from Disney, Hearst, Meredith, and Time Inc. further supports The Knot Inc. expansion into lifestages beyond weddings, including pregnancy and first-time parenthood.

Dolgin’s extensive experience across lifestages enhances her qualifications for her new role, overseeing the magazines, books, and brand extensions for The Knot, The Nest, and (recently acquired) The Bump. Prior to joining The Knot, Dolgin was Executive Editor of Life & Style, where she was responsible for repositioning the magazine to incorporate service, as well as bringing a lifestyle component to news stories. Previously, she was Beauty and Fashion Director at All Youmagazine and Senior Editor at MORE magazine and Parenting Magazine.

Jones will provide editorial guidance for all leading web properties of The Knot Inc., including TheKnot.com, TheNest.com, WeddingChannel.com, and TheBump.com. Jones joins The Knot from her latest role as the Director of Networking Programming of Hearst Digital Media, where she relaunched popular sites such as Cosmopolitan.com and HarpersBazaar.com. Jones spent more than four years at Time Inc. as the Site Editor of Parenting.com and AOL Parenting. At Meredith Corporation, Jones was the Site Director of AmericanBaby.com and HealthyKids.com, and at Disney she served as the Senior Producer of Family.com. Jones began her career as Editorial Director of BetterHealth.com at iVillage.

“We are thrilled to welcome Rebecca Dolgin and Sally Jones to The Knot,” said Roney. “They have it all — a hip point of view, brilliant editing skills, proven managerial experience, and a mastery of both magazine and digital media. They will be key in our continued growth as the most innovative editorial voice in the online industry.”

Dolgin holds bachelor’s degrees in magazine journalism and social psychology from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications. Jones received her bachelor’s in literature and writing with cum laude recognition from Columbia University.
