WeddingChannel.com and US Weekly Say “I Do” to Planning a Celebrity-Inspired Dream Wedding

Engaged Couples Can Enter to Win Hollywood-Style Nuptials Thrown by WeddingChannel.com and Us Weekly at www.UsMagazine.com/Wedding

LOS ANGELES (May 14, 2009)—Secretly dream of a Hollywood-style wedding…but without the Hollywood price tag? Here’s a chance for celebrity fans to say “I do” like the stars! WeddingChannel.com (www.weddingchannel.com), the number one wedding and gift registry website, and celebrity news magazine Us Weekly (www.usmagazine.com) are partnering up for its second annual “Dream Wedding” contest.

Kicking off today through May 26 on the “Dream Wedding” website (www.usmagazine.com/wedding), engaged couples throughout the country are invited to enter the “Dream Wedding” contest, where they’ll get a chance to win a celebrity-style wedding planned entirely by WeddingChannel.com and have the whole process profiled on UsMagazine.com. As if that weren’t enough star treatment, the nuptials will also be profiled in the pages of Us Weekly and televised nationally with the contest’s exclusive TV partner, Inside Edition, the nation’s top-rated syndicated newsmagazine.

On June 5, 10 finalists selected by WeddingChannel.com and Us Weekly will be unveiled for visitors to vote and determine who will win the “Dream Wedding.” Voting closes on June 18, and the winner will be announced on June 25. Fans of the winning couple can keep up-to-date on all the must-know wedding details via the “Dream Wedding” website, where there will be a wedding blog, online videos, and wedding inspiration and tips from WeddingChannel.com.

The first annual “Dream Wedding” contest was a huge success as more than 4,000 couples entered to win a dream wedding of a lifetime and more than one million votes were cast for the winning couple. The winning couple’s story was chronicled in the media nationwide.

“From Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes’ wedding photographer to Katherine Heigl’s invitation designer, WeddingChannel.com called in the best of the best in the wedding business for last year’s ‘Dream Wedding’ winners,” said Charli Penn, managing editor of WeddingChannel.com. “Between our amazing relationships and extensive wedding expertise and Us Weekly’s celebrity know-how, this year’s winning couple will be getting the A-list treatment all the way.”

Leading up to the wedding, America will also have the opportunity to submit well wishes on the winning couple’s wedding web page on WeddingChannel.com. Plus, couples can dream up their own celebrity wedding with the help of celebrity wedding experts, interactive tools, and thousands of photos all on WeddingChannel.com.
