Annual awards program expands testing pool and introduces interactive shopping experience through The Bump Shop
NEW YORK, NY, July 29, 2025 – Following the success of last year’s program, The Bump, the leading multi-platform brand for pregnancy and parenting, officially launches the 2025 Best of The Bump Awards today. Now in its 12th year, the annual awards continue to spotlight top products for pregnancy, postpartum care, babies and toddlers, chosen through a combination of expert vetting, product research, and real-life testing by new and expecting parents.
Building on the momentum of last year’s program, The Bump has expanded its 2025 Best of The Bump Awards by bringing in more new and expecting parents to test products, putting real-life experience and practical needs at the center to reshape how reviews guide confident buying decisions. As in previous years, winning products reflect a thoughtful mix of trusted household brands and emerging innovators, each one evaluated with real-life parenting needs in mind.
The Bump editors start by researching what parents want from each type of product, and interview health and safety experts on the features, ingredients and materials to look for or avoid. They then hand-select the top products best suited to meet these needs and send them to the parent product testers around the country, who use them in their daily lives and with their own children. These testers evaluate and score each item from 1 to 10 on category-specific criteria, including ease of use, quality, design and overall value.
Combining these insights with survey feedback from thousands of The Bump community members, the result is a curated, expert-backed list of overall best products as well as standout choices for specific parenting needs, because no single product is going to be the right fit for every family.
Key highlights of the 2025 Best of The Bump Awards include:
- 172 additional products tested this year, bringing the total number evaluated since 2023 to 685.
- 59 new parent product reviewers, contributing to an experienced panel of 246 real-life testers from a variety of backgrounds since the program’s launch.
- For the first time, winning products are featured in The Bump Shop (currently available on mobile only), an interactive digital experience where users can:
- Save their favorite Best of The Bump award-winning products
- Build and organize personalized shopping lists
- Share lists with friends and family—and even invite them to leave reviews or provide feedback

Methodology
The Best of The Bump Awards honors top products based on extensive research, expert health and safety guidance and rigorous real-life testing from hundreds of new and expectant parents. Our parent product testers evaluated 170 new products this year, totaling 683 products tested since 2023. They assessed and scored each item using a category-specific rubric to evaluate key performance aspects, including ease of use, effectiveness, comfort, style and value. The Bump editors then analyzed the detailed testing results, alongside survey results from thousands of parents across the country, to select the 239 winning products in 33 categories honored by the 2025 Best of The Bump Awards.
