Consumer technology and fintech executive brings global finance and operating experience to support the company's next phase of growth
Today, The Knot Worldwide, a leading global wedding technology company and marketplace, announced that Steven Hodgeman has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. Hodgeman will lead the company’s global finance organization, overseeing financial strategy, planning and forecasting, performance management, and capital allocation, while partnering with the leadership team to drive disciplined growth, operational performance, and long-term value creation.
A seasoned executive, Hodgeman brings extensive experience across consumer technology and fintech businesses, including building and leading global finance teams, improving unit economics and profitability, raising capital, and executing M&A as both an advisor and finance leader. Most recently, Hodgeman served as CFO of Stash, where he led the company to profitability, strengthened its capital structure, raised growth capital, and oversaw its acquisition by Grab.
Before Stash, Hodgeman held senior finance leadership roles at Gorillas and Getir, two global technology companies that reshaped the grocery delivery market. As Global Deputy CFO of Gorillas, he helped build and lead a finance organization spanning nine countries across Europe and the U.S. Following Gorillas’ $1.2 billion acquisition by Getir, Hodgeman became CFO of International at Getir. His tenure at Getir included the company’s acquisition of FreshDirect, the U.S. online grocery delivery business.
Earlier in his career, Hodgeman was an investment banker at Lazard, advising technology, media, and telecommunications companies on mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions. Hodgeman holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a B.S. in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University.
