The Knot Brings Wedding Planning Expertise and Community Together at Destination: The Knot

The Knot brought its wedding planning platform and community together earlier this month for Destination: The Knot, a three-day experience designed to give engaged influencer couples a closer look at the tools, expertise and professionals available to help them plan their weddings.

The annual event brought 12 couples from The Knot’s influencer community to The Laiken by Walters Hospitality. They spent three days in a product bootcamp learning how to plan a wedding on The Knot through a mix of programming, hands-on experiences and real planning conversations with 16 wedding pros. The 3 days replicates a real wedding weekend, culminating in a wedding reception.

For The Knot, the event provided an opportunity to demonstrate its role beyond inspiration. While planning a wedding can be exciting, it can also involve a significant number of decisions and competing priorities. Destination: The Knot was designed to show couples how The Knot’s products, experts and Vendor Marketplace can help bring structure to that process.

The experience also provided a real-world showcase for The Knot’s 2027 Wedding Trends. The trends were incorporated into the event’s design and programming, allowing attendees to experience emerging ideas firsthand and consider how they could influence their own celebrations.

The event brought together more than just couples and The Knot experts. A group of local wedding professionals helped create the experience and gave attendees direct access to the people behind the services they may rely on throughout their planning journey. The gathering also created an opportunity for the couples themselves to connect with others navigating the same stage of life.

Brand partners were part of the experience as well. The Black Tux, essie, Mac Duggal, Bulova, boll&branch, Bride Merch, Stanley, After the Tone and Tate’s Bake Shop participated through gifts, activations, sponsorships and other integrations throughout the event.

Following the experience, the participating couples have brought what they learned to their own audiences through content on their social pages, extending the conversation around wedding planning and the resources available to engaged couples through The Knot beyond the event.

For TKWW, that community-driven approach is central to the company’s work in the wedding category. By combining planning technology, expert guidance, vendor connections and the perspectives of real couples, Destination: The Knot offered a tangible look at how The Knot is working to make wedding planning more manageable—while helping couples stay focused on the experience itself.
